Sleeping in separate rooms is not necessarily an issue; lots of couples do that for all kinds of reasons: health, snoring, different work schedules, or just being very restless sleepers. You should have just been honest about this instead of trying to make up some answer and hoping your husband would make up the same answer. The bank statement with no deposits is likely an issue as well; they want to see comingled finances, and the statement you provided clearly does not show that.

Wait and see what the decision will be, but in the meantime, it won't hurt to consult a lawyer so you can be ready for any scenario. Don't worry about citizenship for now; you won't receive citizenship as long as your issues with your LPR status have not been resolved.

So long as the marriage is not for the purposes of evading immigration laws in the US, that's an option.

Since your brother is unmarried, try to hook him up with a US Citizen girl. Get married. File an I-130 petition. He could land in USA within two years. That is the easiest way.

No need to submit a copy of all pages of your US passport.  Only need a copy of your passport bio page, plus any page that has passport stamps evidencing visits to your beneficiary's country or vacations taken together.

Also, if you submitted a copy of your unexpired US passport bio page, there was no need to submit a copy of your US birth certificate too.  Only one proof of US citizenship is required.

You might be reading some outdated guide page or forum thread.  Always refer to the official USCIS form page for the definitive instructions.

While I understand the benefit of including the busiest airport, I can also understand CBP's concern of including it at this stage. The app is new, may have security issues or bugs. In a larger volume of travellers, it's easier to miss one bad actor misusing this new technology and skipping proper check. Or if 300 people start having an issue and complain to CBP they cannot use the app...

Once the app shows it's effective, it'll get rolled out everywhere.

Great news, thank you for sharing @top_secret

I'm a GE member and really enjoy it for the most part.

Not sure I'd use their app though. The benefit is not so small compared to granting access to my phone.

The permissions are not too bad (no access to files, phone book etc). I just don't understand why it needs "full network access".

Possibly because Delta seems to generate the most phone calls to CBP regarding whether to board LPRs.

This would have been so helpful to include in your initial post... The consulate in the Netherlands generally does not accept DCF requests, so contact Frankfurt. Make sure to very clearly explain the situation: you have to relocate for your job (include documentation), your spouse cannot go back to her home country (explain why: no ties, does not speak the language, unsafe), and it sounds like she will not have legal status in the Netherlands after you leave (on what kind of visa is she currently there?). I think this is a classic example of why DCF exists in the first place, and if presented well I think there is a good chance of getting approval. Feel free to share here what you intend to include in your request, so we can help you to increase your chance of success. Good luck!

No contribution to the OP from me…just your point on the system; this weekend, returned from a business trip to Colombia and Ecuador. The last time I was in Ecuador was in 2017 and I was on my UK passport.  When I reached immigration, I handed over my US passport. The officer scanned my passport then started looking confused “you’ve been here before, correct?”  Yes but “on a UK passport” as she finished my sentence. The system knows everything..

I am tempted to follow the OOP. I really am curious as to how that goes. Wouldn't it be great if that's how easy it was? 😂

I don't know why they haven't questioned why the NVC and consulate processing stages are even a thing if it's as easy as just coming over here unannounced.

If they do and see this, reach out to me. I want to work for them, but 6 figures.

This morning, I was thinking. USCIS should employ some of us here in VJ at hourly rate to revise applications and mark as deny/ approve. Cuts work for IO. This will be cheaper for them and also help them speed up processes. So, you just appear at interview and your decision was made months ago...with all questions to be asked.

    1. You came on B-2?
    2. You were married to XXX
    3. Where's the divorce certificate?
    4. You have children with XXX.

Basically, we do all the hard work and all IO has to do is know where to go fish answers (from DHS system) but denial/ approval decision that we made still stands.

I will gladly take even $20/hour of my free time to work on cases. Of course, I have my main job.

you need to wait for the NOIR/NOID to be able to reapply and answer the issues (with actual proofs that the CO is mistaken)

The following announcement makes it possible for the case to give additional evidence and prove the marriage is bona fide without going thru the long appeal process /also saves the embassy from issuing a ds5535
Sp, when USC gets the NOIR/NOID there is a chance to further send proofs of real relaitonship and marriage

    Announce 9/2021

In order to reduce barriers that may impede access to immigration benefits and ensure the agency is fairly and efficiently adjudicating immigration benefit requests, USCIS is returning to the principles of the 2013 policy by issuing RFEs and NOIDs when additional evidence could demonstrate eligibility for an immigration benefit. This policy will ensure that benefit requestors are given an opportunity to correct innocent mistakes and unintentional omissions and will help protect both benefit requestors and the agency from expending additional resources unnecessarily.

Ketsuban reacted to Marieke H in Seeking Advice for My Unique U.S. Immigration Situation - No Joint-Sponsor for Form I-864
You were advised in your previous posts over the past few years that in your situation and considering the consulate you are going through, establishing domicile in the US is very important. Did you do research on domicile and what you need to do regarding this? It is more than providing a relative's address; you need to show that you plan to live in the US. There are many ways to do this, but the best way is for you to move to the US now, find a place to live, find a job, get the children enrolled in school, etc.

Not having a joint sponsor only makes it even more important that you move to the US and start working; your spouse will not get a visa if you can't show that you are able to financially support him. If this is not possible for you, it might be better for your spouse to look into employment-based visa options.

For the reasons you have listed, among others, it is not uncommon for the American citizen to move back to the US before their spouse.

So you are not missing the "or".  It's the "if" you have interpreted correctly.  However, "should have completed" does not mean "must submit".  You did, so the necessary information is in your IRS Tax Return Transcript.

Don’t matter who fill out the application, the problem is that the applicant need demostrate at the embassy strong ties to the country. I am dominican and i do paper works for people apply for tourist visa, the applicant need has a good job and make good money to get a visa in Dominican Republic, sounds that your sisters in law aren’t working because nobody working can take a vacation of tow months in Dominican Republic. Many teachers get visa easy in Dominican Republic because they make a decent money, and teachers only have one month vacation, so where do they work that can take tow months vacation?
if they dont have a good job, they will lose their money. You paying for the flight show to the officer that they dont have money to pay for their own.
dominican embassy check their job, how much they make monthly, how much they have in the bank, if they have property, house, cars etc etc, the thing it is the look that you have strong ties to come back to DR.

Too bad you didn't find us a few months ago.  You husband had a classic case of filing a DCF case for you to get your GC much sooner than 2 years.

That being said, it sounds like the lab course is important to you, but you also have immigration intent, so when filling out the DS160 for the student visa(?) you will need to disclose your USC spouse resides in the US, so it may be an uphill climb regardless of if you have an I130 in process for an eventual spousal visa.

I guess I would pursue the visa for the lab course first and see what happens.  Make sure you are very truthful with everything you fill out and with any questions asked at the visa interview, but I would be prepared to have it denied.  If you are approved, no one can say for sure what CBP will do when you attempt to enter the US with that visa, but you can bring documents showing your need to return after the lab course is complete.  I would also have you husband start researching the I130 process closely.

    Good Luck!

DHS aka USCIS notoriously did this to some people (including me). They “supposed” to update automatically on SAVE check system ( that’s what government agency used to check ur status )  but from time to time, they didn’t do it.  I know it stupid since they can see u have the GC.

But i never need to show my GC to supermarket ( for what ????) and also doctor office ? ( for Whatt ???)  the only time I showed my GC were for DMV and SSA office

Have u get ur unrestricted SSN card from SSA office ? If not, go to that office, and tell them you are GC holder now and want unrestricted SSN card. You will be put on on hold misery for couple of weeks until ur SAVE check update

DMV also can do it for u. Usually they will request it manually to DHS.

don’t bother to call USCIS. They won’t do anything for u.
