I-485 transferred from NBC to local office, why??

Hi everyone! What does it usually mean when your I-485 is transferred from NBC to your local field office?? In my case, Wichita field office. Does it mean it's getting closer to the end of the processing? I'm just trying to figure this out! Thank you!

As a K1 you don't upload anything to NVC at that stage but on IR1 you do. You'll have to check with peopl3 who did IR1's as ekt and I both did K1. -

Coming on here thinking you know, after somebody suggested something to you is a big mistake on here. People are taking the time out of their day to guide you. Many people come on here thinking they know what the processing times are and are then very disappointed when they find out their information they've gotten is incorrect. Just letting you know how it usually is. Also something I didn't do for a long time was use the search bar on VJ it's very helpful cause people have usually asked similar questions recently. I agree, I sort of feel like they're almost trying to hide the processing times from us. It went from giving us a range to a single number that sort of means nothing, e.g. look at Los Angeles office...they say like 13.5 months for AOS yet they're processing a lot of them within 2-3 months. Just seems silly to me how they're working it now.

How can I get accurate information on how long Wichita KS is taking for AOS? I've looked on VJ but there's no recent data for Wichita, any ideas?

We only saw each other once and on that one trip we saw each other, we filed and got engaged. Don't be too paranoid about this my friend. Hope this helps!
