  1. Greetings, My I-130 application was initially transferred to Potomac service center (priortity date 9/24/18) to the National Benefits Center 5 months later around February 1st. I am the USA citizen petitioner and recently received a notice to come to my local immigration office for an official matter on the 25th of March. The beneficiary is in Jamaica and NOT in the USA. The letter states to bring the letter, passports, marriage certificate, birth cert for me and the beneficiary and evidence of a bona fide marriage. I am confused and seeking any information as to why a request was made to come to a local office and is this request solely for me but why? My original i130 contained these requested documents along with i130a. We are not adjusting status as he is in Jamaica. The letter does reference his A number as he was already known to immigration. Thank you for any insight.
  2. Hello, Anyone had their I-751 transferred to National Benefits Center in Lee Summit, MO without filing N-400? The letter says the case was transferred for a standard processing. No RFE or interview mentioned. Can anyone tell me what to expect?! Totally losing sleep here. 😢
  3. Just thought to create topic for MSC for whomever his/her package landed in MSC/ National Benfit Center... Our paper reached AZ lockbox on 1/9/2019 and we were assigned case MSCxxxxxxxxxx which means national benfit center. Since the text and the check cashed nothing happened so far.
  4. Hello! Read a lot of the AOS forums are mostly K1 and wanted to know and share any news/updates to any fellow F1s doing AOS. Please share yours and help me calm down as I low-key panic during the wait. I'm doing F1 - AOS based on marriage. 05/07/18 – Mailed package 05/09/18 – Case received date. USPS delivery 05/16/18 – Text and emails of Receipt of Application 05/16/18 – Cashed checks 05/21/18 – Receipt of Application by mail 05/26/18 – Appointment Notice for Biometrics 06/04/18 – Biometrics Appointment 06/25/18 – Online update: Fingerprint taken on the system 07/02/18 – Online update: Fingerprint review completed I read online an approximate timeline adjusted to 2018 that said : NOA 2-3 weeks. Notice Biometrics 3-5 weeks. Biometrics 5-8 weeks. Receive EAD card 12-16 weeks. Notice of Interview 4-10months. AOS interview 6-12months. Green Card 8-14 months. Now, I was looking good on my timeline right until the biometrics and according to this one I'm already behind on times. And yes, I'm freaking out about it.
  5. hello! so, update on my case, I have submitted my AOS package from an H2A visa for my husband last May 2018. PD is 5-11-2018. His biometrics was June 15, 2018. Yesterday, I just got a notification that an RFE is sent out. I know for sure I had everything they had asked for EXCEPT the medical that he needs to do. SO, since we were just 2 months into this, could it already be the medical? Any guesses what it could be? Waiting for the notice, waiting for anything, is sooooo nerve wracking. other than that, we haven't heard anything for his AP/EAD. hopefully we get those soon..
  6. Hi Guys, I'm trying to wait patiently but it's been nearly 7 months since the NBC received my I-824 petition, the original timescale was 3 - 6 months and now on the new website it's showing as 7.5 - 9.5 months... Is anyone else waiting for the NBC to approve a petition? Thanks T
  7. When I first submitted my I-824 form at the NBC the "Estimated processing time" was 3 to 6 months, then when the new website / portal had been released the new time was 7.5 to 9.5 months and yesterday they were looking at cases from August 25th 2017 and I have checked this morning and it now says 9.5 to 12 months and looking at cases from June 2017!!! What is going on!!???
  8. Hello everyone! I am a newbie. My sis went through the K1 process and I am yet to receive NOA 1 after over 2 months of filing via an Immigration Lawyer. Believe the secretary and/or lawyer has duped us. Forgive the length of my story. PD-9th August, 2017 Lawyer - Dated our PD - 15th, August, 2017 Location: I am within the US 8/08/2017 I94-02/07/2018 USCIS - Should be Vermont Service Center NOA1-Never received to date. Its now over 2 months (Highly unusual) Bankers check: Outstanding Good day, my husband (US Petitioner) and I submitted our I130/I485/ Work Authorization/SonsI130 (via consular) and several other forms for myself and my oldest son (11yrs old, from previous unmarried relationship) from the Caribbean on August, 9th, 2017 via an immigration lawyer in NY. We never lived together. We dated for 7 years long distance traveling to see one another via Caribbean islands as I had no travel visa and got married in Trinidad 3rd August, 2016. We had a son together in Trinidad 26th September, 2016. I am in US on a B1/B2 visa (3rd travel in for 2017) with baby who got US Passport and CRBA since January 2017. My eldest son unfortunately has no visa so he is in the Caribbean. Upon filling out forms and filing taxes inclusive of our youngest son and I (with us of ITIN #), we gave them (The Immigration Lawyer) two bankers cheques for the Homeland Security same day we completed the forms which the lawyer did not date that day but my husband signed. During the end of month of August, 2017 I notice that no NOA 1 was forthcoming. So I called the lawyers office to inquire and was told by the secretary it takes a while as the new administration has made changes which contradicts the processing times outlined. I also kept telling my husband I am concerned about the handling thus far as from research her responses do not align with the experiences of others. I have become annoyed with the process since I kept getting on to the secretary who kept saying yes its filed but would not email the copies of the filed papers. On insisting to go into the office directly to them she forwarded 2 form on 27th September, 2017- My husband G325 form and only my I130 form. She (secretary) also said that she meant to call me because the USCIS called their office and requested my I94 and Visa which was already submitted. I was shocked she said she was called and not emailed an outline of missing documents On it I have discovered there is info that is incorrect such as that my husband lived at my home in Trinidad for a period 2015 to 2016. He has never resided with me. This years is the longest periods we have ever spent together which I am thankful for. My husband works at 2 hospitals and she has only one correct and the other as an old one. He only started the main one this year so the taxes filed inclusive of this is next year. We called the bank today to inquire if the bankers check was cashed and they stated both were "outstanding". That has to mean its not cashed which means it was never submitted. There is no way that an NOA of receipt would take so long and that the secretary is dishonest. Since if she was contacted it means it was received and should have been waiting on our NOA 2 at the moment. Am I getting it wrong? Its all not adding up. I called the lawyer immediately and asked to speak to him directly about an emergency meeting tomorrow. I am not discussing anything with his secretary who is responsible for the paper work prep and mailing. Please help me clarify if I missed anything.

Guys, Would anyone know why my I-824 form was transferred to the NBC as my lawyer sent it to Texas? Thanks T
  10. Seems like me and two other people are the only ones whose case is pending for over 100+ days at NBC. F2A Category (married to GC holder) PD: 03/28/2016 i130 APPROVE- 7/14/16 AOS i485, i131, i765 received by USCIS 10/4/17 Biometrics done 11/8/17 Raised an SR- 12/29/17 Anyone else on the same boat?? I need to know if people before my PD got any approvals or heard anything. This wait time is ridiculous!
  11. At what part of the I-485 process will a RFE be possible? I know USCIS website says it can anywhere from first they receive the application to the interview day. I was wondering if anyone has received an RFE. At what stage in the application they received an RFE? Was it before or after Biometrics? Also, my NOA in I-485 says received on October 4th and notice date October 11th. No balance due since it is all paid including Biometrics. Year of birth was incorrect so lawyer instructed to call USCIS to correct it and they did a service request. I wonder if they will delay the processing? The above application/petition has been received by our office and is in process. Please verify your personal information Listed above and immediately notify the USCIS National Customer Service Center at the phone number listed know if there are any changes. Please note that if priority date is printed on this notice, the priority does not reflect earlier retained priority dates. Next Steps: USCiS will schedule a biometrics appointment for you to have your biometrics electronically captured at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC). You wi1l be receiving a biometrics appointment notice by mail with the specific date. time, and place where you will have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. . You must wait to receive your biometrics appointment notice before going to the ASC for biometrics processing. . This notice does not serve as your biometrics appointment notice. Also, my NOA in I-765 says received on October 4th and notice date October 11th. Eligibility category: C09. Do RFEs usually happen before or after Biometrics?
  12. Category: 201 B INA PARENT of USC Mailed AOS Package Application: July 25 (USCIS) Form I-797/I-130 & I-765 Received - August 4 (USCIS OFFICE : NBC Lee Summit, MO) Priority Date: July 31, 2017 Biometrics: August 25, 2017 Called 9/22 - says still processing. Online not updating either. Contacted our Senator for Assistance to expedite issuance of EAD- 10/3 Office of the Senate contacted USCIS - 10/4 USCIS replied - Oct. 11- that my application is still within their current processing time. And continue to say: Your priority date for your I-765 is July 31, 2017, the National Benefits Center is currently processing cases with priority dates of April 2017. Now, we have been waiting for almost 75 days which is this Saturday Oct. 14th, God knows how slow the processing takes place since they're only processing April to this date. April is 6 months away on top of the 75 days we have already been waiting, by that time it becomes current, it would have been outside their acceptable timeline of 75-90 days. Can someone tell me if the same scenario has happened to you? I just hang up with a USCIS Rep. and he too couldn't give me an answer, Only told me to call again after 75 days and get ready to be told to call again after 90 days. This is ridiculous!
  13. Hello... I am new here.... Currently on F-1 OPT. OPT expires October 13, 2017. On March, I married my U.S. citizen boyfriend. We filed AOS and Travel documents on June 30, 2017. A month ago, I have been notified by my HR to present a new unexpired work permit to keep my employment. I am anxiously waiting for news from USCIS regarding my EAD…..In 20 days I need to get my EAD card in hand. Otherwise, I might be jobless :(( Also, I have made flight reservation and plan to go back to my county to have a wedding at the end of December!! I am super worried if I do not get my combo card soon. My job…my wedding… ARGHH Does anyone here have the same job situation as mine? What should I do/ my employer does in this situation? Can I still be working WITHOUT PAY (more like a volunteer job) after my OPT expires if my employer let me does that until I get my EAD? What’s y’all recommendation? I just feel bad to my employer because I have not worked for a year yet, and will be taking leave for wedding.. and plus I might need to take unpaid leaves for indefinite time until I get my EAD… Here’s my timeline 30-Jun-2017 Filed AOS package 5-Jul-2017 USCIS received fingerprint fee for I-485 6-Jul-2017 Received I-797 Receipt Notices 15-Jul-2017 Received Appointment for Biometrics Notice 26-Jul-2017 Received RFE Notice (I-131A. Somehow lawyer forgot to send it together with I-485). Sent the I-131A on Sept 28. 3-Aug-2017 Did Biometrics 8-Aug-2017 RFE was received by USCIS 11-Sep-2017 Called USICS to expedite EAD/AP 12-Sep-2017 USCIS: Expedite request was assigned to an officer. Referral ID: T1*****. We sent a response to your request to have your case expedited. Another update: your request to have your case expedited was completed 18-Sep-2017 Called USCIS regarding the expedited case status. Told me they sent an email requesting proof of severe financial loss on September 13. But I did not get the email. So turned out there was a misunderstanding in communication. Officer whom I spoke with on Sept 11 misspelled my email address. 20-Sep-2017 Sent a fax to congressman regarding EAD case
  14. Hi, I wanted to look up the average processing times for concurrent filing of I-130 and I-485 for my parents and got confused. In their receipt notice for all 4 forms that I filed (I-130, I485, I131 and I 756) it shows National Service Center as service centre. Chicago office received their application on Aug 2nd and they were invited to do fingerprint on Aug 29th. How can I look up how much time it will take for my parents to receive green card ? Thanks
  15. Afternoon, I am a 2016 August filer, still "in queue awaiting interview scheduling" and been there for 8 months or so. Done all the on-line questions/help, called the national center, service requests etc. and no one can tell me anything of use. As far as I know, file is still at the NBC, which from what I understand is the office which will schedule the interview and THEN send the file to the FO. No one can, or will, tell me why the file is still at the NBC after 13 months, or if even my background check is complete. So my question to the masses is, that with the file still stuck at the NBC, am I wasting my time (5 hour drive) to have an infopass meeting? Will that IO be able to tell me anything of value, or move my case along? Or am I simply going to be told "in queue...." Thanks, Emil
