  1. Hi everyone, I posted this topic a while back regarding the fact that I wasn't able to obtain a police record from the Cuban Embassy in my fiance's home country Ghana, due to the portal for obtaing in being down. We have been connected with an official who is in Cuba, Emailed the Cuban Embassy, and still get no answers, or no responses to emails. My fiance has emailed the US Embassy in Ghana for them of the current situation still waiting on a response from them as well. His interview day is fast approaching next month. My question is: Is it possible for me to request a police clearance at the Cuban Embassy in the US on behalf of my fiance who lives in Ghana?
  2. I recently moved next door from my parents house, and my address changed one number. I have no problem with my mail coming next door, since our mailboxes are together. Daily I receive photo emails from USPS of what is coming in the mail per day. So I'm not worried about not receiving anything from them. My question is, is it necessary for me to update it with USCIS right now while it's at the NVC? Will it prolong the process Or will it cause a denial if it's not updated? I do plan to update it once we file for the AOS, but prefer to wait until after the K1 interview, POE, & marriage.
  3. Hi everyone, so my fiance and are in the process of gathering everything we need for the K1 interview. Our I129-F was approved September the 12th 2023. We just want to gather all the the documents we need, while it's getting to the NVC, and then to the Embassy. Here's the situation: My fiance is from Ghana, but stayed in Cuba for about 5 years to study medicine. He reached out to the embassy of Cuba in Ghana. To get a police clearance for the time he was in Cuba, they responded back to him via email stating that the process is delayed up to 6 months and it's not guaranteed that it'll be ready before that time, due to the channel for obtaining documents are not working. Does anyone know how we go about this situation If the interview comes sooner than the police clearance? He still reaching out two different ones to try to get in touch with someone who can of possible help. I have attached the email from the embassy below. Thank you for any response in advance.
  4. Hi, I'm applying to ghana too. Let me know how it works out please. Still waiting on NOA2.
  5. Here's the profile of the petitioner that got his case expedited successfully for Ukrainian fiance. https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=351187
  6. Not sure if I understand everything correctly, but there was a similar situation on here. The petitioner expedited his K1 due to the war. His fiance was Ukrainian and they were approved in 4 months. I'll try to find the profile and attach. If it's not the same as your case, sorry for misunderstanding
  7. It was from the U.S Embassy in Tsibilisi, Georgia. It was a very short official denial letter, stating that the consular adjudicated and refused your visa application, and the case had been sent back to USCIS. 9 months later USCIS mailed me a letter stating that "..the approved petition was forwarded to the Department of State with the validity of four months. However, the petition was returned to USCIS with a finding that the beneficiary was not issued the requested K-1 visa. The validity period of the petition has now expired. All USCIS action in this matter is concluded as of the date of this notice. "
  8. Hello everyone, my fiance and I will be sending our application hopefully this week. I have two last questions to make sure everything is good. This is my second time filing for a K1 Visa(different person & country). My first relationship did not work out. I sent off my first K1 January 07, 2019, it was approved April 2019 he interview that June of 2019, and it went into administrative processing for almost a year. During that time, I noticed a lot of red flags and that this was not the relationship I thought I wanted. A few days after realizing that, I actually received a letter that it was denied(confirmation). It's been over 2 years since my past k1 filing/approval date, I'm wondering do I need any other documents to provide? Also, on the I-129F, it asks if the application was approved. It was approved by USCIS, but it was denied at the Embassy stage after administrative processing for almost a year. Would that still be considered an approval, even though it was eventually denied? My second question is; I stayed at my fiance's apartment majority of the time during our stay. When we went to go visit his parents/family in his hometown, we rented an Airbnb for 4 nights. I have the receipt for the Airbnb. Do I need to provide any other information besides letting them know that I stayed at my fiance's apartment during my stay( besides the days we went home to visit his parents/home)? Thank you in advanced for any responses🙏🙂
  9. Thank you all for your comments. I feel so much more relieved. I will be sending it off this week🙏💕🙏
  10. Hi everyone, I'm gathering documents/information for my K1 Visa (almost done ✅). My fiance is from Ghana When completing the I-129F relating to addresses, 2 of them do not have a street #, he declares that there is none for those 2. I've searched online and and couldn't find a # for them either. Anyone had this type of situation before ? What should I do or leave it as is? All responses are appreciated. Thank you in advance 😊🙏
