OREM, Utah (ABC4) — Charlie Kirk, a conservative influencer, has been shot while at a rally on the Utah Valley University campus. His condition is currently unknown.

According to a UVU spokesperson, at 12:20 this afternoon, “a single shot rang out in the quad near the food court” at the UVU Orem campus as Charlie Kirk began speaking at his event.

“We can confirm that Mr. Kirk was shot, but we don’t know his condition,” the UVU spokesperson shared.

“We are closely monitoring reports of the tragic shooting involving Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Our thoughts are with Charlie, his loved ones, and everyone affected. Agents will be on the scene quickly and the FBI stands in full support of the ongoing response and investigation,” Kash Patel, Federal Bureau of Investigation director, stated on X.
According to the UVU alert, police are investigating, and a UVU spokesperson is now saying that the suspect is not in custody. Campus is closed until further notice, and those still on campus are encouraged to follow police direction.

Unfortunately there is a very graphic up close video being shared online.

 

Based on that video, I do not believe he is alive..

 

The shot was fired a remarkable distance away and in such a way to ensure maximum effect. Not sure why they grabbed the wrong guy, but I think they need to look for a suspect that's an expert marksman.

I simply posted what he said.  Sad that it came back to him.  He might, or might not, have cared when others were shot, but he said multiple times that it was a price HE was ok with.
