Hello, anyone in here! Hoping you have a good time.
I would like to ask some questions.
1. Has anybody here been to the USA and used a K1 Visa with your whole family (in this case my family doesn't have a B2 visa yet. However they gonna start to process as soon as possible)? If yes, how's the whole process from making their B2 visa to entering the USA?
2. We will hold our wedding party in a different state from where my fiancee lives. Is that a big problem? or fine? We will gonna stay at my fiancee's home anyway after the party.
Thank you so much for your kind attention and looking forward to hearing from you guys soon!

I don't fully understand the question.  Are you saying your family members are applying for B2 visas and what happens if you all arrive together?  Any family member that wants to come to the US will need to apply for their own B2 visa by filling out the DS160, paying the fee, and setting up a consulate appointment.  If they receive their B2's it does not matter if they arrive at the same time you will be entering on your K1.

2. We will hold our wedding party in a different state from where my fiancee lives. Is that a big problem? or fine? We will gonna stay at my fiancee's home anyway after the party.

Not an issue, many people go elsewhere and have a destination wedding like Las Vegas, or wherever is most convenient for your US fiancé's family.

Thank you so much for your kind attention and looking forward to hearing from you guys soon!

Good Luck!

Hello Dashinka

1. Yes that is what I meant. I'm in a panic mode so I can not type properly. Thank you so much!
On the DS-160 form, there is a question "Are there any other persons traveling with you?" so I will answer "yes" then?

2. That was a relief answer :). Thanks!

3. one more question, we have an idea to hold our engagement party in Indonesia (where I live) and bring my fiancee's parents to celebrate in here. Then, we will be going to the USA all together (me, my family, my fiancee, and his parents) to hold our wedding ceremony in the USA. After the wedding and spending a week in the USA, my family will leave from USA. Can we do that?

If this were me, I would answer no since your family members do not have their B2's in hand right now.  If they do get B2's prior to your K1 interview, you can discuss that with the consulate officer conducting your interview and change it is needed.

Be very careful with any engagement parties, or religious engagement ceremonies that can look like some form of wedding when you are applying for a K1.  In general you should be fine, but make sure it looks like an engagement ceremony, and not a wedding.

Your family will need their visitor visa in hand before you can answer that question. Did they already apply?

Not yet. I will plan to help them right after I get my visa

With that the case, I would answer "no" on your own DS160.

I don't think this timeline will work. I believe you have a deadline to enter on your K1, which might be shorter than the wait times for the B1/B2. Usually B1 B2s are good for 10 years.

I would have them apply for their visas before you apply for yours. And then answer the question on the form accordingly.

for indonesia the tourist visa validity is only 5 years

but i agree with you, it is better to apply for tourist visa first for the family because sometimes it's hard to get appointment slot especially during holiday / school break season

Personally, if having them at your wedding is a priority, I’d choose a CR-1 and have the wedding in your country.

otherwise, it’s a total gamble.
