When I asked specifically if people who recently went through K1 to AOS recently, they would have clarified it. Veteran members have probably gone through different route and multiple different steps after that to have this particular step much older. Making me confused even more. That's classic example of shoot the messenger (or questionnaire) rather than nicely asking when my question did not provide you clear picture on my circumstance. And this is most certainly not the unique circumstance since forum is full of K1 visa timelines and progresses.

You were the one who confused people, some K1's do require to complete their medical in the US, so quite understandable that we thought that was why you were asking.

Exactly.   OP assumed those of us responding didn’t have first-hand knowledge because our replies didn’t fit with his incorrect assumptions.

OK, but we as members have absolutely no control over the instructions and/or how confusing you think they are. You are taking out the fact that you're confused, on people who are SPECIFICALLY trying to clarify things for you. Seriously. You also got angry when you were told we don't have control over fees that doctors charge. We don't. Just because you seem to think that paying more than $150 bucks for a medical is unreasonable, does not make it true. My husband paid more than that 12 years ago...

Those instructions say exactly what I told you about not needing a new medical; there is nothing confusing about them.

 

You started your post by saying that you have been calling civil surgeons, so naturally everyone assumed that your K-1 medical was incomplete, because that would be the only reason for needing an I-693. If you had asked about the "confusing" instructions we would have just clarified that you don't need a new medical instead of having this long, pointless discussion about civil surgeons.

I asked the OP a simple question 2 days ago- "Why did you think you needed a partial exam?".  I am still curious....I thought I might lean something.

Well, I am not sure but maybe he was referring to completing the Vaccination Record.

For example, I had to complete my Hepatitis B series, starting overseas with the first shot there and second shot here.
The panel physician there, accredited by the US consulate, told me to go to a civil surgeon here,
get the 2nd shot here and the I-693 to document my completed vaccination record.
I put this, together with my DS-3025 into my AOS package.
Overall I paid 150$ for the hep-B and the I-693 paperwork.

The issue is that not every civil surgeon agrees to that; OP stated that the civil surgeons in his area are requesting a full exam instead of just the vaccination part. This is a common issue that happens, especially if you do not live in a big metropolitan city that has a lot of civil surgeons which increases a chance that one of them will do what you’re asking them for (i.e. transcribing the vaccination part only).

Yeah, you are absolutely right. I called 3 doctors and only one wanted to do the vaccination only thing.
Maybe in the OP's case it's cheaper and less stressful to do the full exam again instead of traveling just for that.
If I had known better I would have completed my vaccination stuff overseas but hep-B was kind of uncommon
in my country. Lesson learned.

Probably nothing is needed if DS-3025 is marked as fully complete including the vaccination part 

 

My post was more of a PSA that vaccination only transcription is not easy to come by and to get them at the overseas K1 exam if possible.

This is usually what we recommend on VJ to be done, if possible
