Hello everyone. Hope everyone are well.  I petition my mom and she’s approved. Now waiting for the appointment  interview in Manila, I looked up and says 3 months processing , I know you can expedite it. Does anyone know the process to expedite and what are the requirements? Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike!  She’s senior citizen. We planning to go visit back home on October and see if she can come with us.

Expedited are for specific reasons, not just "I want to expedite because I want my parent to come back with us."

You can certainly ask for an expedite to get it approved you need a good reason

Lol, that is not a valid reason for an expedite.   Her being a senior citizen is no emergency.

I know it’s not. She has health problems also.

Might be longer than 3 months. 

USEM seems to be going through some weird issues with issuing immigrant visas. And some spouses of USCs have been waiting about 6 months for interview.

And it seems like some people are being auto expedited but also having to schedule their own appointments... 

 

Another member above posted about wait times after interview. Maybe you can follow them and see when their interview is scheduled.

If she has a need for urgent medical treatment in the U.S., seek an emergency B visa.

She will not qualify for an expedite just because she's a senior citizen with health problems. Besides, you literally just said that you want to expedite so she can fly back with you in October. It isn't the smartest thing to lie to immigration.

I would not suggest expedite for this reason of health problems. Her visa may be denied because of medical issues may seem her a public charge.

The time at NVC won't be the issue.  The real wait will be after DQ, waiting for an interview.  It could take many months.
