So question....currently we are going through the I130 process with my husband. Now he is wanting for my MIL to come visit while we wait for the waiver to be approved(hasn't physically seen her in 20yrs) . She has already tried once but was denied ( she also went with a group of people) so I am wondering what we can do to apply for her visa from the US.

Thanks for any info guys!

There’s nothing you can do for her apart from assisting her to fill out the application. She needs to apply and be assessed based on her own merits, there’s no sponsorship from a USC or anyone else

Nothing.  She must qualify on her own merits.

So I can fill out the paperwork from the US, and send it to the consulate for her?

Everything is done online today, including submitting the application, paying a fee and booking an appointment.

Having done with it before she should be familiar with the process

Her Daughter can help her or any handy 8 year old

It i her money but with a prior refusal and whatever the reason is for her daughters waiver it does not look good.

My husbands waiver is the 1-601A

Wait. If you are going through I-130 and your husband is waiting for the I-601A to get approved, why can't he see her now?  He's in the same country as his mom.

I 601a means he is in the US
