N400 based on three years- looking for feedback!

Hi everyone! It’s hard to believe that my window to file for N400 is opening soon! 
I’m looking for feedback on my application. Based on three year rule.

Form N400

Hubbys BC

2021, 2020 and 2019 IRS tax returns

bank statements from 751 submission til now ( a year). 4 bank statements.

Joint health insurance (both through my employer and his employer)

Joint vehicle insurance for both vehicles.

Joint house deed .

 

I was thinking of taking pictures, flight reservations, etc etc for the interview (most likely it will be a combo since my 751 is pending).

Any feedback is highly appreciated

Congratulations and God Speed. 3; years of taxes, copy of plastic card and marriage certificate gets you an A+. Anything more is extra credit and suitable to your detailed oriented nature.

seems solid evidences there, i helped my friend filed n-400 with only 25% from what u have ( i-751 pending) and she got her same day citizenship oath ceremony. good luck !

Awww thanks! You write so well, I’m a teacher, would you want to write my report cards for my students? Hahaha

Contrary to my 751, I wouldn’t want to overload my submission and have it delayed. So I just don’t want to be that student that gives the teacher extra work!

Just another slightly stupid question for which I think I know the answer: we might not have submitted our 2022 prior to my N400 submission, so I’m assuming that until April 15 2023 the last tax year of tax returns could be 2021 right?

@Crazy Cat I think your wife requested a combo interview in a letter…. Did you file online? If so, how did you include the letter? Can you share the wording of the letter ?

In case you're interested, here is a transcript of our I-751/N-400 interviews:

 

We received an email a few days prior notifying me to be there for the combo interview. Appointment was at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 14th.  We were called in at 1:30 pm.  Officer said, "You have already submitted a lot of evidence".  The officer asked both of us a few questions for the I-751 interview.  "How did you meet"   How many children?  When were you married? Did you pay anyone to fill in the I-751? He wanted to see evidence of marriage dated from I-751 filing date (March 2019) to present.  I gave him bank accounts, credit card accounts, apartment leases, driver's licenses, Car insurance card. He did NOT ask for tax transcripts (I had already uploaded them) or original documents.  He said "You satisfy the I-751 requirements".  He then gave me the option of remaining in the room for the N-400 portion, but wife was comfortable alone.  He escorted me back to the waiting room.  Wife says he asked her a few questions we had answered in the I-751 interview portion, then asked her the 6 easiest questions in the 100 question list.

 

Who is President?

What did MLK do?

Why did colonists come to America?

Name one branch of Government?

Name 2 cabinet positions?

Who makes laws?

About 30 minutes later, he escorted her out to meet me.  She had the form which says "You passed the English and Civics test". 

An hour later, her N-400 status had changed to "Oath will be scheduled".  The next day (I think), her I-751 status changed to "Case was approved".

What amazed me was the rate the officers were calling interviewees in that afternoon.  They had 10 or 12 officers continually calling people out of the waiting room.  We were called 30 minutes after our appointment time. 

 

The officer told us "We are here to help her become a citizen.  We are not trying to fail her.    Officer said 2 to 6 weeks for the oath. 

When we got home from interview, the N-400 status had changed to "Oath will be scheduled".  Next day, the I-751 status changed to "Case was approved".  On Jan 9, 2023, we received the oath ceremony date.

Dallas seems to be rocking the N-400 process.  I couldn't be happier with the speed in which they processed the N-400.  Thanks @Family

@Rocio0010 ...Even when the due date to file taxes is mid April 2023, if you want, you can always file your taxes early. you've got your W2's right ?

Not yet. It’s still mid- January😂. We often file our taxes mid- February and I’m applying first week of February. So I guess we’ll just take our 2022 tax return to the interview.

Thanks! I have been saving some evidence from filing the 751 but honestly I feel like I’ve been slacking. I can always add joint bank statements (I’m uploading some to my N400 application), some joint utility bills… we own the house so no leases. I am also taking some pics that I’m not uploading online, the 2022 tax returns, the State and city taxes… but I’m afraid that I have them my very best on my original 751 application!😂

Tried to message you but i couldnt, just FYI, The question that u asked on The live show ? You Dont need to mention it at all. A course its Only a course no matter how long is the course. ( i tried not to be speficic gere )
