@Rocio0010 Remember, with n400 online you can still upload documents and download the notices that are mailed to you anytime. Likely your receipt notice and fingerprint notices are likely already posted and can be downloaded. 

 

Check under the document tab at the https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant.

Here I go again,

I applied this Monday (01.30). 

Yesterday I got an email and a text message saying that they have taken an action on my case. I did check on the different portals, and all I see is the receipt notice. No biometrics. Most people get biometrics reuse the same day. 

 

I know, I know... If it was someone else and I was reading this message, I would say "you're a frequent flyer at VJ, you should know better than asking these silly, newbie questions..." but here I am!

We received the receipt and bio reuse notices the same day.  We also got a "we have taken action..."....but nothing I could see.  Be aware that you might get the "We are actively reviewing your case.." notice, too.

I just wonder what is going on... All I see in my documents is the receipt notice.

Greetings, my VJers! 
Today they scheduled my biometrics appointment BUT they scheduled it in our “old” State of West Virginia. We moved to Columbus about a year and a half ago, I did file for AR-11 the day after we moved, and I filed my 751 from Columbus. 
So I called USCIS and they said that they were going to request my application to be “transferred” from WV to Columbus. She assured me that this was not going to cause any issues blablabla but by now you know me and you know I don’t buy that. My biometrics appointment is scheduled for February 23rd. The agent said this “transfer” could take up to a week. 

So my questions are…

 

A) if by Monday 13th I don’t hear anything about this “transfer”, can I go to the local ASC? And in that way, if for some reason they reject me, I still have time to go to WV on the 23rd?

 

B) If I do an early walk in here in Columbus and the transfer is completed after, would it cause any issues?

Just do a walk in at Columbus…and turn on the charm . They can accommodate you ..just say on the 23rd you are unable to attend ( work issues..or get creative)

So, following @Family advice I took a walk in at the Columbus Application Support Center in Westerville Columbus this morning. Was parked before they opened. They were giving numbers to people with appointments, but when they were calling the numbers since no one showed up they started taking people without appointment. Voila!!! Was in and out in five minutes. Super friendly and professional staff, I left them positive feedback on a questionnaire they gave me at the end.

My case status updated to “actively reviewed” almost immediately.

Wow the wait time went from 15 months down to 7 months for N400 in Columbus!

So right after I did my biometrics I got the “your case is being actively reviewed”. Estimated processing time: 7 months.
