Hi all, just wanted to join in with the wait with you. I submitted my docs on November 28th, so am expecting to hear something around mid January. It looks like they are taking around 6 weeks at the moment. Good luck to us all 🙏.

GOOD LUCK.  We both are on the same timeline.. it is about 45 days to DQ.  They are doing GREAT

I scanned through this thread and compiled this table.  Also I was waiting to see NVC's new timeline this morning.  THEY ARE DOING GREAT.. doing review in 42 days.  They reviewed till 10/24/2022.  If the same pace is maintained.. here is what my estimate, we should start getting cheers as early as 12/13/22 Tuesday.

I submitted an optional document on 4 November (after initial submissions on 1 November). The wrong version of my Thai birth certificate was submitted to USCIS with my i-130 (i.e. my lawyers submitted the birth registration document, not the full birth certificate). My i-130 was approve with no RFE anyway, and my lawyers uploaded that "wrong" document to NVC. I caught it and corrected it but my lawyers were like, it should be OK because it's the document approved by USCIS and we didn't want to confuse them, lol. Then they uploaded my actual birth certificate with translation on the 4th as an optional doc.

Anyway my point is, I'll see & report back if I am approved/RFEd on a 1 November timeline or a 4 November timeline because I'm reading different things about the effect of submitting additional documents on the review timeline.

I guess  you will be approved based on 4th Nov timeline.  Actually once you submit everything and the status shows SUBMITTED,  you cannot add any more documents.  this is what I noticed.  When they send RFE,  then they open to add more documents.  This is how I understood.  If your lawyer added a document,  then he did not submit on 1st Nov.. he did on 4th Nov.

Right, but I've been seeing some different things based on required docs vs optional docs. I thought it was possible to add optional docs at any time after submission? Seen a lot of people mention this.

Hi, so I did something similar. I submitted all the documents on Oct 10th, then I joined the discussions here and saw a lot of RFEs asking for W2s, so weeks after Oct 10th I decided to upload my W2s as additional/optional documents. I was still reviewed under Oct 10th, my understanding is you get reviewed based on the date you uploaded all required documents. In your case, I don't know how it would work in your case since it's a required document but it was uploaded as an additional document. However, there's only a 3 day difference, I'm glad you caught the mistake

Thanks! That's exactly what I've been wondering re: optional/required/birth certificate. You're right it's ultimately just 3 days, thankfully. Nothing compared to the i-130 wait!

You enter the queue when you submit all the required docs as mentioned above.

Submitting any optional docs won't affect your place in the queue. I have been adding optional docs from Nov 2nd all the way to two days ago as stumble around the forum and try to avoid an RFE.
