  1. Update on my status. Wife's interview was set for March 20th, 2023. Interview was also very quick and easy. From everything my wife told me she passed. CO told my wife that the visa shouldn't take more than a weeks time and to pick it up at our designated location. So happy to get this part over with. I'm sure I still have a bit more dealings with the US Government since my wife is only getting a 2 year visa. But for me it's 100% better to be together and the overall timeline between filing and visa for me was only about 1 year. 😁
  2. Understood, thank you. That's exactly what I decided to do but just wanted to ask others as I don't want any more unexpected delays with this process.
  3. Congrats! I'm hoping my wife gets it as quickly as you did. We're going on vacation 10 days after the interview and would like to just head immediately to the US after that vacation as well.
  4. Hello everyone, I have some concerns in regards to my wife's interview in March. We received a e-mail requesting "Evidence of relationship between petitioner and application such as photographs etc" and to upload it to CEAC. This seems to be for the Petitioner (so me) but under my options for Additional Documents there doesn't seem to be a correct document type for this, since everything seems to be for the Affidavit of Support documents. Not sure what I am suppose to upload this as, so I set it as other and added several pages of documents for evidence. Would submitting it like that be correct? I assume they already have the information on my marriage and relationship as it was submitted via DHS, NVC, and now should be at the consulate. Just not sure what documents they will have and which they won't at the consulate.
  5. Yep definitely. I'm just happy we're seeing the light at the end of this tunnel, and overall my experience was much easier and faster than many others so I feel blessed.
  6. Received my IL (Interview Letter) today. Interview scheduled for 03/20/23. It definitely looks like their pace is slowing down versus the previous trend or maybe there's just way more interviews/applicant at the moment. Super excited and relieved to know we have a Interview but also disappointed since we were hoping to spend Valentines and our Wedding Anniversary together in February.
  7. Me and my wife got DQed 12/16 and am still waiting for a appointment as well. Hoping it won't be longer than the 4 weeks or so they stated. I'm guessing Bangkok is having a influx of appointments/applicants now since it use to be about 4 weeks total for Interview Letter and Appointment from some timeline early to mid 2022. But you should definitely reach out to the embassy if you haven't already.
  8. I'm not sure if you can print the confirmation again, but I recall being given a confirmation page when I entered all my fiancee's profile, case information, and mailing when I first created the account and filed for a IR1 visa. I opted out for a pick up vs mailing though.
  9. Thank you for that update. I probably won't get my interview until March then. XD was hoping a early February interview as well.
  10. Are you still waiting for the interview appointment? I myself just got DQed and was wondering about the timeframe myself.
  11. Just received my DQ email but the status in my CEAC file has not been updated. So I'm just hoping it's because it's a Friday and by Monday everything will be good. The email definitely says I've been DQ though. 12/16/2022 date.
  12. CONGRATULATIONS!!! From my understanding VisaJourney usually recommends either finding assets or a co-sponsor. A lot of times they also recommend just getting accurate information in regards to current pay. Such as a employment verification with stated salary of your wife or several months pay stubs. From my understanding proving that current income is enough should suffice at the interview. Now is the time for you to convince the Consulate. Edit: I saw that you stated her Income is from Thailand... From my understanding they're looking for US based Income unless it will continue while in the US.
  13. I'm hoping they aim to brighten a few more people's Christmas and hopefully that includes some of us.
  14. Boo! Welp for any form of solace we're at least that much closer to bringing our significant others over. I'm hoping for a January/February date for me. That is still about half a year faster than anticipated when this whole journey started.
  15. Yep I had to. It was part of my required Civil Documents for my wife.
  16. It definitely doesn't hurt to file now and it's free. You're probably looking at roughly 3 months or so from what the timelines say for a response in regards to your I-129F (K3). But I wouldn't say it'll guarantee a faster response for the I-130 though. Depending on a lot of other information your case can take longer or shorter to review. I filed it with the acceptance that it'll probably be 1.5 years before everything was done so I was pleasantly surprised. At the same time it threw off a lot of my planned travels to see my wife... but in a sense its a good thing.
  17. Best of luck to all of us. I submitted on 11/10/22. It's been a long wait especially since I was approved in October but couldn't get all the Civil Documents until November.
  18. 1. I ran into a similar problem in Thailand as well for my wife. I ran it through a address verification program as much as I could. Something like https://www.smarty.com/products/single-address. I don't think they are 100% accurate but good enough to help get a idea of what works and what doesn't. At the end of the day I gave it my best guess as well. 2. Yes, I provided my wife's address chronologically with the latest as her Physical Address 1. I did it to just satisfy the last 5 years of her residence, so I listed like 6 places in the last 5 years for her. None of it would be 100% accurate as my wife was a terrible records keeper so everything was in ball park numbers. Keep copies of this to make sure you're doing every thing consistently. Didn't want them to think a simple mistake was anything other than that especially because her address changed once again when we got to NVC. 3. Yep for Thailand it's 66 and I just placed her number as if I would make a international call. 4. I did not list myself as a preparer even though I did all the documentation for my wife. 5. Yep, this is for your wife and not you so there is no A-Number or USCIS number. Leave it blank. 6. You should be able to just list her as Unemployed from present to 5 years ago. I don't think a explanation is needed but you can add it if you want to disclose that. For part 3 I just put See Previous Part and that was it.
  19. The following was evidence I used for me and my wife to get our I-130 approved. It may be more than is required but I rather provide as much information as I can vs getting a RFE a few months down the line and hitting a delay. - Marriage License / Marriage Evidence Pictures of our Marriage Ceremony Pictures with me and her Family Member Pictures with her and my Family Member - Financial Documentation/ Support US Income, Wife added as Beneficiaries to my 401k/IRA/etc. Screenshots / Capture of you transferring money to your Wife, Mines was via MoneyGram - Additional Documented Travels My travel history to see my wife abroad (flights, ticket stubs, stamps in passport) Any itinerary of us traveling together (Hotel rooms with her name and mines, flights with both our names, etc.) Pictures of us together (Not too many but a few from each different trips was what I picked) Additional Relationship Documentations Snippets of Conversations via Messenger, Line, WhatsApp, etc. If your wife was in Thailand for more than 12 months I would recommend preparing to get a Police Certificate down the road as well. It'll take some work as it takes them 30 days to process and probably even longer for someone not currently in the country.
  20. At first it was pretty confusing. Since all you need is the NVC case number and then a Invoice ID number that they send to you. I received my e-mail first and then like a week alter my I-129F denial because of acceptance of I-130. Something like a week after that I then received my actual NVC acceptance letter. So it was quite a bit of a wait for everything physical. I thought they would individually look at my documents and my wife documents but it seems you have to submit everything before they start the process of reviewing documents in order to get DQ since I submitted my AOS way ahead but it was held up with my wife's DS-260 and Civil Document requirements. So I think effectively my document date is 11/10/22.
  21. Congrats! I just finished the DS260 and the Documentations for my Wife as well. Took longer than expected thanks to the Police Report for Thailand. Hopefully everything is smoother sailing for you in Japan.
  22. I asked Emma through Live Chat to see whether my petition was accepted or not because the status was still "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" and they stated that it was Approved.
  23. From my understanding if you submit a K-129F (K3) they group it together with your I-130 and send it to a different service center. I originally started in Texas Service Center, but never checked with Emma to see if it moved or not, so not sure. Some people say it takes the same time, others say it's quicker. Since I didn't send it at the same time I can't really make a judgement because 6 months wait for Approval isn't out of the ordinary for some. Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you as well. Good Luck!
  24. Because I sent in a I-129F (K3) it went through the Nebraska Service Center.
  25. Good Morning Everyone, Below is my timeline to NOA2.
