The visa needs to be issued by the end of this month.

Thank you Boiler for the quick response, and thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. would you mind elaborating ? why the end of this month ? why not the previous month?

Once again thank you for your insight.

Cheers.

If it is not issued by Sept. 30, then the application is dead.  You will not get a DV visa for this year, and will need to apply for it along with everyone else for next year and hope to get selected again.

If you don't have your interview date by now, I would prepare yourself to not get the opportunity this time around.  From memory, I got my GC via the DV lottery a few years back, we got a month's notice for the interview.

Is your case current in the Visa Bulletin?  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2022/visa-bulletin-for-september-2022.html

Thank you all for contributing. hopefully I get something before the end of the month. I will keep you guys posted.

At this point you can forget about it - it is unfortunately not going to happen  You would have to have interview at the embassy scheduled already to make it before end of September deadline. Not sure what country you are from but in some (PL for example) embassies have been really slow and lots of DV22 winners ended up not ever getting an interview.

At this point  you can apply in the 2024 DV (2023 is closed and selectees have been notified) and try your luck.

Hello,

just to answer few questions. the country is Morocco. I stopped by the consulate today, and I was able to book an interview for tomorrow. few development in this case, I collected all documents except the medical examination result since they require you to have both covid vaccine, I already have one, in order for the doctor to administer the vaccines, he/she needs to wait 15 days.

sigh man, I will give it a try tomorrow, hopefully I get a chance to explain myself.

I will keep you guys posted.

Even after getting preference treatment by the embassy in scheduling the interview, i truly hope you don't lose your immigration chance by yourself, you have no one to blame but you this time. Note that they cannot issue the visa until your medical is complete or you have approval for vaccination waivers. The visa must be issued by Sep 30.
