Hi All,

So I sent out two inquiries almost 3 weeks ago.

Thankfully the response was given to both of them, one was my I-797 was lost in the mail and they sent out another one.

Second, I read about the Biometrics being used and put in an inquiry for that as well, I received an update yesterday 11-17 that:image.png.02624618ce4fb23b6afa2fd5df8d18c2.png

My received date 9-26-22 and my service center is Nebraska.

So, I would send out the inquiries but it also depends on how helpful the information specialists are as well. This was my second set of inquiries after the first ones didn't yield any result.

How to put inquiry for biometric? Can you share please.

I would actually call and make the inquiry or service request.

This is the USCIS contact number:

1-800-375-5283.

Let me know if you have anymore questions?

Sarge... Could you please send me the link to make the inquiry. And what exactly should I state or input there? Is it a drop down, pick your question kind of inquiry page? I just would really like to see some progress on our i-751. 🙏

It is for biometrics, you haven't gotten a wavier or your appt yet? Anyway it's on the main USCIS web page and yes it is a drop down.

How we’re you able to place an inquiry via call? Did you speak with an agent? Or just requested case status? Thank you

For those of you that were in the discussion of removing restrictions from the SSN:

In our case, he got the GC December 2020 right in the middle of COVID and the SSA wasn’t even opened.  They were doing appointments only in 2021, and I couldn’t assist him with the language (he understands and can read but it is not at the level of having a full conversation with a full-blown American) because they wouldn’t let me in.  So, we decided to wait. In 2022, they fully opened in the summer, but lines were crazy (people were lining up at 5am for an office that opens at 9am).  However, we knew we wanted to take care of this before the GC expires.

We did his today about 2.5 weeks from the expiration date without issues.  They didn’t even ask us for the extension letter.  We did the application online and gave the representative the application code, his passport, GC, driver’s license, and old SSN card.  He told us we would get the new card in 1-2 weeks.

In Florida, you have one suite for SSA Administration and one suite for SSN card-related things, make sure you go to the suite for the cards.

Great news @Fe.Ta !

Looks like the employees at SSA in your location are knowledgeable.

Yes, I was expecting they would be since we are in the Orlando area.  However, I was also ready to bring up my research.  LOL

I would say for those in areas or states where the immigration process is not as common, do the research, and be prepared to speak to a manager, since I figured they would be “required” to know more.

Anyone with updates on submitting inquiries for biometrics?  Our 30 days of the inquiry will be December 9th.  If no response or action, we will send one on the 10th.  Going on 70 days since they received the case without a word on the biometrics appointment.

Hi,

Yes, through an agent I was able to make a service request and she said she would put one in for the fingerprint being "reused".

Hey,

I just received an update on my inquiry on the 11-17, that "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken."

I did an inquiry on October 31st for the Biometrics.

NOA date is 9-26-22.

This is some BS from USCIS.  I spoke to two different reps via chat after sending the inquiry on 11/09 and both did nothing. That I had to wait.  Still no response on the inquiry either.  SMH.
