She can't threaten you. You need to report to the police. This is felony menacing. (threatening with a deadly weapon) it's not up to her that she can't cancel your Green card.

There's a form you can file for spousal abuse where it will protect you through the immigration website  and you will still be able to stay in USA. Go to social security office and do as mentioned of the I-864? The one mentioned in this thread. I'm so sorry for the cruelness by the one who is putting you through this who is suppose to be your wife. You don't have to worry about divorce at this moment you can deal with it later after you get yourself in track with what you need right now. Please don't go back to her place of residence, if you need to go to a police station and report her and tell them what you said occurred there. They will deal with her and escort you.

The OP has a Green Card.  He is a legal resident.  He can stay in the US based on that.

Surprising that so many people are advising him to sue his wife under I-864. 

 

When a US citizen posts that their foreigner spouse is trying to sue them for support under 864, most of us don't think it's fair.  So not sure why people are advising suing under that.  He shouldn't get anything, he knew that his wife didn't want him to come but the gold card is too much to resist.

I haven't observed that.  It takes 2 willing people to marry and provide all the bona fide marriage evidence needed for a spousal visa. Marriage is a commitment.  The I-864 is a commitment. The wife had ample opportunity to halt the visa process, but she didn't.  Life is full of choices.... and consequences.  She signed the I-864, and she will possibly have to pay spousal support.  Wise people learn from their unwise choices.
