Digital nomad - pointless to apply?

Hey, my girlfriend (russian) and I are digital nomads. We’ve been living together for around a year, first in Russia, then Turkey, and soon Mauritius.  
 

we’d like to get her a b2 visa to meet my grandpa. (It might not be possible much longer). 
 

So, is this pointless to try? She doesn’t have strong ties to her country because she doesn’t live there anymore and is getting residency in another country right now. Additionally, she works for an international company.  We have no plans to emigrate (nor the money), and we plan to continue traveling and seeing the world for the foreseeable future as it’s possible. 

 

however, I’d really like her to meet my older family members, so it’s likely we’d just get married right after and start that process. I know it’s not fast, but they’re not getting any younger and that would put us in a bind. We would just have no other options. So ideally, we could get a tourist visa and return to our happy lives. 
 

How can we even approach this?

Other than the filing fee it doesn’t hurt to try.  But intuink it not probable she will be denied.

She can apply, probably best to wait until she has residency in whatever country that is. A lot of Russians anre apply for asylum obviously so that will not help matters.

 

She can not work in the US on a B visa.

Are you a US citizen? If so, her having a USC boyfriend (especially when there are talks of marriage) is going to make it very hard for her to get approved. The digital nomad thing and lack of residency makes it even harder.

 

There is nothing she can do other than make an appointment, pay the fee and go to the interview. I think waiting until she has permanent residency somewhere is bare minimum, because right now she pretty much has zero ties elsewhere and one strong tie to the US (boyfriend.)
