March 2022 NVC Submissions IR1

Hi everyone. Just found this topic. I re-submitted mine 26th March.

We uploaded my American spouse's tax documents in 2021 but she did not need to file her taxes. In June 2021, we wrote a letter stating that her income is below the IRS minimum limit even in the 2021 and we will add a JS. But JS's tax documents got complicated and we recently added another JS and uploaded his 2019-2020-2021 tax documents to change JS. Also we submitted an explanation why we want to change the JS.

Now, while waiting, we thought that should we upload another letter stating that my spouse still not required to file her taxes? (She didn't file her taxes even for 2021 because it's still below the 12k dollars)

Any opinions?

Nothing resets the clock other than resubmission of 'Required Documents'. The only way to find out is by doing it.

Just want to say that I don't believe resubmitting required documents reset the clock my original submission of October 12 was reviewed on time with multiple resubmissions however I still received a rfe and fixed that later on in January which was my review month later approved in april look through older threads and you'll see people getting reviewed on time even after resubmitting documents.

Submitted everything 11/2021 got an rfe on Feb 20? 2021, replied to that next day and got another RFE on March 29th 2022, replied to that the same day and just got another rfe on May 12th..lmao. NVC is all over the place with their dates.

May I ask what your RFE’s were for?

So this for my mother and father in law. IR5. First rfe was for my wife’s birth certificate(they wanted an English & original language copy). Second time was for proof of domicile. And this last one was asking for “every w2/tax return”..bs. She just wrote a letter(few sentences explaining she doesn’t work but files taxes jointly with me) and we uploaded that. The agent on the phone said that’s all we needed. But it’s never taken 90 whole days to review..hopefully they’ll be DQ’d after this.

We are DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED!!

(Submitted 7Mar22)

We received an email that Nvc updated our status Friday 13May. Only thing shows was the AOS was accepted.  Then early this morning around 1230am another email show NVC updated our status. I go back online to check and nothing was updated only shows the Aos and nothing new.    Reading all the “what if I resubmit something will the time restart” questions..I took a chance and uploaded my w2 for 2021 at 640am (under additional documents)  Now waiting to call the center to ask about the emails to only get a message at 7am when they are suppose to open saying the center is closed due to weather.   I go back online and see there’s a new email about all the documents was submitted and accepted, (even the w2-2021 shows accepted) And is documentarily qualified.
