Spouse got the polio vaccine from CDA Medical Centre in Islamabad (Govt hospital) and already downloaded her NADRA polio vaccination certificate too.

They covered till July 2022. You will receive yours in 10 months or so. That's a rough guess. They are speeding up though thankfully.

As in you registered online on their website for scheduling the medical appointment? Let me know when your spouse receives their medical appointment confirmation email from Aziz Medical Centre. Because I did the same. Applied online. They weren't picking calls though.

Thank you! Also a side question, my spouse got her last covid shot (fully vaccinated + booster shot) in July 2022. Almost 2 years have elapsed since, is her covid certificate still valid to schedule her medical appointment? or she needs to get a new one? Would really appreciate your feedback 🙏.

The DS-260 form was filled and submitted to NVC in March 2022. We got DQd in May 2022. We received our Interview Letter today. Interview is scheduled for March 2024. Should the form DS-260 be updated or the old one would suffice? Does it have an expiration date?

Congrats! Your spouse is based in Islamabad or other city? Did your spouse call the designated medical centre for scheduling the appointment or did they go on their website and registered for e-medical?

Not yet. Consulate will probably give out ILs after the election week is over in Pakistan. That's my best guess. God knows better though 🙂 🙏

Thank you for clarifying that petitioners can't accompany the applicants to the interview. And congrats for your spouse's verbal visa approval. Best of luck for the remainder.

Call the embassy and inform them that your wife only speaks pashto and would be needing you as an interpreter. Do this asap before her interview. Good luck.

Can your spouse speak Urdu? If yes, then she can always opt for 'interview in Urdu' before her actual interview. The officer will ask before interview regarding the choice of the interview language, English or urdu. You do not need to accompany your wife as an interpreter unless she has a speaking disability in which case a sign language interpreter is allowed to accompany her. You can only accompany her till the waiting area of the shuttle service. I hope it's clear now. In case your wife does not speak English or Urdu, then you need to contact the consulate by email or phone and let them know that you will be accompanying her as an interpreter since she cant speak English or Urdu.

Just checked the official guidelines from the travel.state website regarding accompanying persons for Islamabad embassy as of 2023. Attached is the screenshot from the document. It clearly states only two instances where a person can accompany the applicant.

And when did your wife's interview take place? Was it recent? Generally embassies do not allow unless there's a valid reason for petitioner to accompany the applicant to the interview. Rules keep on changing though.

Unless the applicant needs a translator or has special needs, no other individual is allowed to accompany the applicant to the interview.

InshALLAH. But it seems the embassy will cover remainder of May and June in the next month for IR1, CR1 and IR5 categories. They only covered 3 weeks worth of DQs for IR category. This month priority was given to F categories in terms of coverage. Nevertheless, Y'all keep your spirits up. We all got this. We're all so close. A little more patience and we shall be with our spouses soon inshAllah.

Following documents need to be uploaded on CEAC after you receive your IL: 1. Updated AOS (I864) 2. Updated IRS Tax Transcripts 3. Updated W2s 4. Updated/New Paystubs Additional documents to upload that would strengthen the case: 5. Petitioner's passport biographic page 6. Pictures with your spouse including wedding and trip pics 7. Chat and voice call logs 8. Money transfer receipts or gift receipts between spouses 9. Petitioner's visa stamps/boarding passes whenever they visited the spouse. Take all these documents with you during the interview too. In other words, whatever you upload on CEAC should be taken with you to the interview.

Police certificates are not needed from Pakistani Applicants. And no, you do not need to submit police certifcate for your saudi trip.
