Consulate Review: Morocco
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : July 8, 2022
Embassy Review : Arrived 45 mins before appointment. Lots of people waiting to go in as well. Husband was the last to be seen (waited 3 hours) After swearing under oath the Questions ask was:
How many time wife visited you here in Morocco?
Where do your spouse live?
Did he live in another country?
Where did you spend your honeymoon?
If your spouse is visiting you now?
What do you (hubby) do for a living?
Do you have any pictures from the honeymoon trip to DOMINICAN REPUBLIC?
Do you have any relatives in the USA?
Have you (hubby) ever been married before?
Do you know if your wife have been married previously?
Do you know if she’s divorced?
What is your your age?
What is her age?
Where does your wife work?
Where will we both live in the USA?

When my hubby took out the pictures to find one for DR, the officer ask to see the entire envelope with all the pictures… he took out one of the pictures with me and my father n law and ask who was in the picture with me and hubby said ‘she’s with my dad’. After that one picture he didn’t look at any others.

Coming into the office they ask what language you want to speak in husband said English. Officer ask what language do you want to speak in he said English. But the officer spoke some words in Arabic.

My husband wants you to know to always be yourself and speak the truth because then they will respect that. He said that is what he felt from the officer. He said the officer was very nice to him.

They looked at everything in the binder of the original documents and proof of marriage, but the whole folder was given back to us. The only thing they kept was the passport.

Visa was approved and we can pick up within two weeks.

Ok. I will post a review. Hopefully ours go as smooth as the others and less than 15 mins max. I was thinking about asking to go in with him, but I think I’ll pass.

I don’t think they let the spouse in. Unless the CO tells them they can go get you to join the interview. Regardless, prayers for a smooth and easy interview!!!

Thank y’all so much. We are so happy this long journey is finally almost over.
CMRenane on 2022-07-08 said:
And I’m happy for you both! I can’t wait for ours to be over too. And the sad part is there are other couples who have been separated longer than us. It’s starting to affect me in a negative way whereas before I just dealt with it because well, that’s our journey. I am sincerely happy for you guys and again many congrats and blessings to you both.

Congratulations!!! How long after your NVC approval did you receive your interview date? I am wondering because I am in the process of preparing docs for interview and want to make sure we have enough time!
blank avatar Heartnmoroc on 2022-07-14 said:
Annie280. I think it took 3.5 weeks. And thé interview was sked one month from that date. Just make sure you get all the original docs in a binder, proof of relationship and I order real photos. And go over all samples of interview questions. Look at immigration lawyer websites to see what some of the interview questions are and YouTube have them as well. Good luck to you both. You got this!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
