Several hundred thousand of illegals have poured thru in the past year, been given free plane, bus, and train tickets all over America.  

 

Why?

Not just that, but there are military hot spots all over the world that the US basically ignores.  Heck, we just got out of Afghanistan albeit rather haphazardly, why is Ukraine so different particularly with respect to the US?  I am more interested in what Germany will do considering Putin could cut off almost 40% of the gas supplies fairly quickly.  I tend to agree with @Neonred, what would we be doing if Russia or China set up shop in Mexico or Canada?  I hear a lot of pundits claiming Putin has to do something for all the expense of moving a great deal of his forces to the Russian western border.  Shutting off the gas for even a few days would drive up the price of CH4 pretty quickly which would pay for all of these maneuvers.  Heck, with Biden in the US doing everything he can to drive up energy prices particularly oil and gas, Biden should be Putin's best friend.

Russia has moved blood and other medical supplies outside Ukraine as part of its military buildup, potentially preparing for battle, U.S. officials told Reuters Friday.

The move is concerning to U.S officials as it could show Russia, which has amassed more than 125,000 troops along the border, is preparing to invade.

Seems the Ukraine President is calling out Old Joe and the US media.  Of course we know the Dems and US media thrive of instilling fear.  I also see Russia is holding talks with Germany, France and Ukraine without the US.  Not really sure why the US is involved at all, I know, NATO, but NATO should have been disbanded back in the 90’s when the USSR fell.

If, by chance, Putin is just jockeying his troops for some political ploy, and not to attack, I wonder if he gave it any thought beforehand that he would be the impetus for galvanizing a 100,000 strong civilian reserve force?

Probably does not really care.  As long as he can keep the cost of oil and natural gas high, it will pay off at least in the short-term, and if he can get some of the sanctions lifted, it will also be a win.  If he really wanted the Ukraine, why not take it in 2014.

I am thinking North Korea.  Of course with that country being as small as it is and it’s standing army around 1.2 million, they are all fairly close to the border.

You know, Putin... he is supposed to be the leader of a major country. He is acting irresponsible. Not acting like the leader of a great and historic country. He does not act like a person who puts any value on human life or stability in the world, or peace. He acts like an irresponsible and irrational and self-serving dictator of a 3rd world country. And those who allow him to continue as such a dictator are equally responsible.

I don't disagree with you regarding Putin, you could also insert Xi, KJU, the idiot in Venezuela, etc.  Heck, even our own "leader" here really has no empathy for anyone else other than himself and his family.
