USCIS messed up the biometrics appointment, can't get it resceduled since September

Hi guys, I really need your advice.
I'm currently waiting for my work authorization and adjustment of status petitions, I filed both of them in May, there was barely any progress on both cases.
We moved to a different town in July, changed the address straight away, even got the CONFORMATION that it has been changed. In the end of September I suddenly get a message that i missed my biometrics appointment, and the notice has been returned back to USCIS because USPS "could not deliver it". I obviously called USCIS right after, I've been told that the address has not been changed at all and that I have to do it all over again in order to get my bio rescheduled. I did change it, with a conformation on the phone, after that I've been promised by several different USCIS representatives that I will be given a new biometrics date within a month. So, I did everything right on my part, but they still messed it up, and now I have to deal with this. I'm waiting for that reschedule since September. I call them like 10 times a month, constantly asking what the hell is going on, I always get the same response - "you have to wait for 30 days in order for us to schedule it. Can't help you right now, you have to wait"

I really don't know what to do. I cannot get my biometrics rescheduled since the end of September, and every single time i call USCIS they basically tell me to piss off. Have any of you guys had the same problem before? Is it even possible that I will get it rescheduled eventually or do I have to hire a lawyer or something to make these idiots do their job?

I guess you aren't helping by doing that.  Contact your Senator's office.

Why? What will the Senator do? I know nothing about this, but i doubt that their office deals with immigration problems like that

It’s their job to liaise with federal agencies (which USCIS is) on behalf of their constituents if the need arises and all avenues have been exhausted

Actually they do.  They can contact USCIS and nudge them to re- schedule .  Your constant calling them hasn't produced any results.

I'll do that, won't hurt for sure. Would you say that it's better to call the senator's office, not email them?
Any ideas why USCIS is acting like this? I don't think I have any problems with my case, they never sent RFE or anything like that, so...

is it even possible that they will reschedule my biometrics without me hiring a lawyer/calling Senator and asking for help? Isn't it, like, illegal not to do their job (especially considering the fact that I, as their customer, paid a reasonable amount of money)?

no.....Call your Senator's office and request help.

you have already received good advise. one other thing to try if you have not already done so is to speak to the tier 2 officer at the USCIS. you can do that by reaching the USCIS helpline number and then asking the support person to speak with the tier 2 officer instead. they have usually been a lot more helpful than the USCIS misinformation line on tier 1 for scheduling and mailing related issues.

I tried asking for tier 2 agent several times, they refuse to transfer my call for some reason, last time I called tier 1 said that you can only get to speak with tier 2 if you request a call from them I'll try again, also will call the Senator's office.

Definitely try the senator's office (there will be 2 senators per your state) or also your local representative (find out which district you are in and who the rep is.) On their websites, there should be something like "Help with a federal agency" and contact them via this. You can specify that the problem is USCIS/immigration related and they will know what to do.
