I mean this in the nicest way possible, but "until they're done".  No one knows how soon it will be completed, but maybe you can contact the embassy to inquire.  It will at least "remind" them that you're still waiting.

As long as it takes.  This is common for Pakistani cases.  Extended Administrative processing can not be waived or expedited.  If you sue the US government (WOM), it could cause an immediate denial.  You just have to practice patience.

That’s not what she meant.   She meant that you should continue to post in your original thread, rather than to repeatedly start new threads about the same topics.

As you were told in your original thread, extended AP for Pakistanis is very much the norm.  You can’t do anything except for wait.   The waiting means that the consulate does not have enough information yet to approve or deny your visa.

I'm sorry that you've been waiting so long but nobody here on VJ has a crystal ball to see in the future how long AP can take for each individual. Everyone's case is different and some nationalities get longer AP by default, it's just the name of the game. You can read more about how AP works here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_Advisory_Opinion

It could be days, weeks or years longer. You just have to wait it out.

This. I personally know someone in AP since February 2021 going through Islamabad consulate for spousal visa. It’s difficult and frustrating but extremely common for Pakistan.

Yes i understand but my case is different from other i guess.. what happened actually is i interviewed on 18 of may and my online status before and after was same for 6 months shows READY, After 6 months online status showed temporary refused and i got an email to send answers of a questioner,,, still it is refused... I saw on thier website and u all my friends says the same that atleast u shld wait for 6 months..My question is after that email i got and online status changed should i be waiting for 6 months more or that initial 6 months will be counted??

I know my frnds u cannot say an exact answer but like i shld be refused online straight away when i got 221 g ,what does that mean after 6 months i was asked to submit requirements and status changed after 6 months..

I don’t think your case is different from others. Online status is not perfect, sometimes it glitches and you shouldn’t over analyze it.

What does it mean? It means consulate wanted more information from you and requested you to submit some documents/information. And the status changed. It didn’t change before because there probably was a problem with the online system, nothing else. There’s no hidden meaning.

And where did your friends get the information that you have to wait 6 months?? It’s not true. They just randomly guessed an estimate. You can’t just email the consulate and say “hey it’s been 6 months”. Their answer will be “there is no such thing as 6 months and we can’t give you an estimate”.  So no, you shouldn’t count 6 months from anything AT ALL as that’s not true and you shouldn’t listen to your friends use they give false information.
