I-864 RFE " Could not determine petitioner is qualified"

I received an I-864 RFE today stating that it could not be determined that I the petitioner am qualified.  I am not sure why they say I am not because my income last year was 50k per year and that is well above the qualification limit, as well as the two previous years.  Also, this year my projected income is around 47 - 52k per year and I sent in all my pay stubs for this year.   So what would cause them to say I am not qualified?  ANy experience with this RFE for I 485 applicants?

Read each line of the RFE. Look into what you have submitted. Even if one evidence is missing, the generic rfe is your income isn't sufficient. May be list here what you had submitted.

I submitted 3 years of tax returns above the income qualification and 6 months of my last pay stubs.  The only thing I think may be an issue is that my employment has changed several times the past year (due to covid) and at the time I submitted the packet I had just started a new job and only sent 2 pay stubs.

Do you have a copy of the form you sent? You could check that for errors. Wrong household size, not signed, forgot to fill out a line. All of that will trigger this kind of RFE. What are they asking for in the RFE? If you want to you could upload it here ( everything personal blacked out ) .

I can't say what they're looking for in particular, but if you just started a new job and have only two pay stubs, maybe a verification letter from your employer would help. The letter should be on company letterhead and should include your start date, your employment status (full or part time, contract, etc) your position, and your annual wage or salary.

Providing word by word contents (except personal info)of your RFE here is a god idea to get good advice.

I did include that as well.  I dont know what else could be the issue.

As @arken has suggested, if you'll send us a copy of your RFE, with personal info redacted,  it would help us to advise you.

I attached a picture  below.   It states that Based on the documetns submitted, we could not determine that the petitioning sponsor  on Form i-864, affidavit of Support, is qualified.  In order to be a qualified sponsor, the petitioning sponsor's form I 864 must be propertly completed and signed, and the supporting documents must establish that the petitioning sponsors income meets 125 percent of the federal poverty guideline for the sponsors household size.

Did you keep a copy of the I-864 that you sent? Go through it to make sure everything is completed, and that it has been signed.

Did you send pay stubs for the previous job? They do accept those to establish that you've consistently been earning.
