    My wife's 485 AOS packet was approved this month and when we applied we asked to have a new updated social security card sent to us. We have received the green card already but we still have not received a new social security card with the updated name and status. Anyone on here have any experience on how long it takes to receive it ? Do we have to do contact our local ss office to have them send it?

    So now that we finally received our combo card, we are ready to travel. We just need to know how many times my wife is allowed to leave the country and for how long can she stay out of the country?

    Hi All, So after 364 days my wife finally got her combo card approved ( EAD, AP). My first question is, now that it is approved, how long will it take to actually receive it? Also, now that she has her EAD, do I need to go back to the SS office to get a new SS card that changes the employment statement on it? It currently reads not eligible for employment. We did check on our I-485 packet that we wanted a new card sent to us.

    Is this verified? Others have said rfe does not affect your spot in line

    We filed our AOS application back in July 19, 2021 and I am seeing on other timelines here that they have already received their EAD's or AP documents. Why has mine not been approved yet and should I be worried now? I know the USCIS site says it can take up to 12 months but most other K1 AOS applicants have already received their EAD and AP. Any advice?

    We submitted us in July 2021...did Biometrics september 2021. We are still waiting and status is still "case is being reviewed" So sit back, relax and be patient. It will be a loooong time before you hear anything else. We still haven't even received our employment authorization or travel document.
