I guess postal workers are immune from covid. Either that or Biden's unconstitutional mandate is full of hypocrisy. Good thing the company I work for has under 100 employees and the owner told us he will never mandate the vaccine or I would be looking for another job at a smaller company. My wife will probably lose her job because of this mandate however.

"All people are equal before "the scienceTM", but some unions are more equal.

We previously noted that in an unspoken footnote to Biden's bombastic "no jab, no job" speech, various labor unions had quietly (and not so quietly) voiced their displeasure to the now official mandatory vaccinations including NYC teachers, California's largest public sector union and of course, the US Postal Service. And now we know that while Biden was eager to frame his new vaxx policy as all inclusive and with no exception, that was not really true.

According to the Washington Post citing a "White House official speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss not-yet-public portions of the president’s plan", U.S. Postal Service workers were not included in Biden’s executive order requiring all federal employees to get vaccinated against the coronavirus."

That could take years and in the mean time people will be faced with the choice of taking the vaccine or losing their job. I certainly will not be quitting my job and neither will my wife. They will have to fire us.

To be fair, he also said mandates were not going to be used either.  People said Trump lied, I think Old Joe has him beat big time.

Short answer. USPS employees are not considered federal employees technically and  are under control of congress as per the constitution, so he can not legally include them in the executive order

A Washington Post reporter on Thursday night corrected a report claiming that U.S. Postal Service workers – a group of about 650,000 people – would be exempt from President Biden’s executive order calling for federal employees to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.

"JUST IN: White House official now says USPS workers ARE part of the federal vaccine mandate order under OSHA jurisdiction, though technically not under the executive order," Post reporter Jacob Bogage wrote on Twitter.

So they are exempt from Old Joe's EO, but the USPS will be on the hook for what Ron Klain retweeted calling it the  "ultimate work-around".  I imagine the unions will get involved.

Every postal employee I have ever spoken to over the past 30 years were either CSRS or FERS eligible.

The PRA’s designation of the Postal Service as an “independent establishment of the executive branch of the Government of the United States,” 39 U. S. C. §201, is not consistent with the idea that the Postal Service is an entity existing outside the Government. Indeed, the designation indicates just the contrary. The PRA gives the Postal Service a high degree of independence from other Government offices, but it remains part of the Government.

Members of Congress and Their Staff Are Exempt From Biden's Vaccine Mandate

On 9/10/21 at 11:02 AM EDT

President Joe Biden's new vaccine mandates for federal employees don't apply to members of Congress or those who work for Congress or the federal court system.

Biden issued two executive orders on Thursday requiring vaccination against COVID for federal workers and contractors who work for the federal government. He also asked

the Department of Labor to issue an emergency order requiring businesses with more than 100 employees to ensure their workers are vaccinated or tested on a weekly basis.

However, Biden's order on federal workers applies to employees of the executive branch. The House of Representatives and the Senate belong to the separate legislative branch,

and the courts to the judicial branch of the federal government.

Yep, it has been this way all along.  Psaki refused to comment on the vax numbers, remember? Thee, not me should be the new admin's slogan.

Also, to be clear, USPS workers are exempt from the federal employee mandate (100% injected), but they still fall under the > 100 employee rule of "take the experimental drug or get weekly testing done".

The problem is, businesses are punishing those who opt to go with natural immunity (which is MANY times over more effective than any man-made drug) by increasing their insurance premiums, as well as not paying for sick time if they get covid.  VERY discriminatory.
