I just did a small, informal study of time between NOA1 and NOA2 for a handful of July '21 filers who recently received their NOA2 and these are the times I found (in days):

424
426
426
426
426
427
432
432

Ako and I are currently at 423 days. I'm gonna place a casual bet on Monday for our approval...

It seems like they are doing everything they possibly can to get people approved by the 14-month mark. They are not changing the wait estimate on the USCIS website from 13.5 months. (Obviously, they are still lying and it's more like 14 months.)

They must have reached a tipping point where they feel they absolutely cannot let the estimate get any bigger. So my guess is they are desperately trying to get the estimate to slow down, stop, and turn it around so they can finally start working to meet the projected September '23 goal of 6 months.

I agree with you. I think that is what they are doing. I am July 20 and I have seen July 14 approvals so I am very hopeful. My document was extremely detailed, so I am really not expecting any RFEs, taking a leap of faith here :)

I'm 4 days behind you so you're giving me some hope. The days feel like weeks.

I think this is happening at the expense of neglected June filers. They are working on July instead of finishing June. By doing so, they are artificially trying to create an illusion of meeting 14 month goal.

To really bring the estimated time down, they should be working on more cases than now. They should be hitting 200-ish cases per day to truly bring it down. But they are currently not there yet.

Interesting. I wonder: Under what circumstances are June filers being "neglected"? I wonder if there is a criteria that we are unaware of.

I agree, it seems like they are still lying pretty badly with their 80% within 13.5 months mumbo jumbo.

I was trying to say that there are 1150+ June filers, 2500+ July filers, and 3400+ August filers awaiting adjudication. There are 31 business days left until Oct 31st. They need to be hitting more than 200 cases a day to finish-ish August cases by end of October and keep 14 month processing time. The processing rate is not there yet.

Well, they did go from giving an estimate for approval to saying that 80% of cases get approved within a certain timeframe. That's essentially pushing back the timeline by (14 months divided by 80%... 17.5?) without actually admitting to that...
