  1. Thank you! I reached out to them via email and they said that the payment option will appear once interview appointments are available. So hopefully it works out!
  2. Hi! I’m currently struggling with this same issue. I was looking for a solution and saw your post. May I ask how you were able to solve this? I’m stressing. Thank you! :)
  3. Hi. I am wondering if it is ok to tick mark the P3 checklist and email it back to the consulate, even if I don’t physically have my fiancés i134 signed form yet? I have all of the documents ready, I am just waiting on physically having the i134 form with me right now… I will have it in 2 weeks from now. I just wanted to clarify if there is any issue with that or not? Thanks!
  4. Hello, we received a letter from NVC stating they will now forward our case to the embassy in Montreal, and the process may take several weeks. It also said that the embassy will contact us when they are ready to process our case. I’m wondering, do we start on the DS160 and i134 forms now, or do we do that when the embassy gets in touch with us? Also, when do we schedule the interview… does the embassy tell us when to do that? Thanks in advance!
  5. We got approved today!!! NOA1: Aug 23, 2021 NOA2: Dec 02, 2022
  6. Hang in there. I’m also day 463. I hope we all hear something soon, before Christmas. When we initially applied for k1, the processing time was 6-8 months. No one thought it would take this long. But we waited THIS long, we can wait a couple more days or weeks!
  7. Thanks! Do you know any FB groups or anything that I can be directed to in order to follow k1 Montreal timelines?
  8. Hi everyone. I am wondering does anyone know how long the NVC process is after NOA2? And now long the Montreal consulate takes to schedule and interview for k1? I’ve been looking at traditional wedding dresses in my south asian culture… and they take 3-5 months to be made, shipped, and in my hands. I want that to be the least of my worries and have that done and ready by the time my interview comes around. I should be getting NOA2 any day now, as I’m a august 2021 k1 filer. So I’m just wondering how much longer I can expect the process to be for someone in Canada who applied for the k1 visa. Thank you!
  9. We are in group 127000, day 456. Feel so tired of waiting and hopeless, even though approval can be any day now. I wish they’d process cases in the order they received them.
  10. I really hope they finish all of August before the new year
  11. Me too. Waiting sucks but at least we don’t need to worry about anything going wrong in the long run. Immigration is no little matter and definitely not something to play around with or find loopholes in in my opinion. I wish the best for everyone in their journey, it’s definitely not easy!
  12. Thank you! I definitely may reach out because I did have some questions about the process especially moving from Canada
  13. Hi everyone. My fiancé and I are K1 filers. We should be getting our NOA2 any day now. I’m Canadian and he’s American. I have many friends and family telling us that we could’ve gotten married and lived in the US without doing this whole process. However, I feel like we did the right and honest thing by choosing a method “by the book”. But I’m curious, are people really able to use the visitor visa/visa waiver to get married and adjust status without leaving the US? Also, on a spousal visa… how long are you able to visit/live with a spouse in the US at a time before getting your green card? I would love to be able to answer how different methods work compared to the k1. Thanks!!
  14. How do we know what group we are in? I see in other month threads they refer to what group of cases is being worked on?
  15. I hope so. It seems like we’ll start seeing August approvals in October/November maybe?
  16. Congratulations! Hopefully they start working on august 2021 soon, our NOA1 is august 23/21.
  17. That’s great! It is the perfect time to take classes while waiting for ead and ap.
  18. Hi, I’m wondering if anything in particular needs to be done before leaving Canada and entering the US on a k1 visa. For example: Do we need to advise Canada Revenue Agency of the move or do anything in regards to taxes? This is a silly question, but what happens to our Canadian citizenship? Is it something we always have, even when we become a green card holder in the states? What happens if our Canadian passport expires before we get a US green card, let alone US citizenship years later? Are we still able to use our MSP healthcare benefits if we are visiting back home in Canada? Thanks!
  19. Hi, does anyone know if we are able to take university or college classes once we enter the USA with the k1 visa? I know we can’t work until we get work authorization, so I thought it would be the perfect time to upgrade with some classes in the meantime.
  20. Yes the process is taking MUCH longer than anyone thought I think. I just took a look at your timeline and will also take a look at the FB group! Thanks! And it seems like we are headed to the same part of the US! And good luck on your interview! 👍🏽
