  1. I made a very silly mistake on I-131, which I applied for on February, and USCIS returned me some I-131 documents. I submitted corrected form again and got my case number this Monday. If your application/documents have some issues, USCIS will return you the application with instructions.
  2. I typed two numbers and one matched with the recipient date of I-485 and 765. Thank you so much for your advice and quick responses.
  3. I could guess my I-131 receipt number from the other receipt numbers. These three receipt numbers seem to be consecutive numbers, so I checked Case Status online and I guessed my I-131 receipt number. Should I try e-Request even though I'm not 100% sure about the I-131 receipt number?
  4. Thank you for a quick reply! I've already got two letters (I-797C for I-485 and 765) from USCIS. I got two text messages and emails about I-485 and I-765 before these letters. But I didn't get a text message about I-131. So i don't have a receipt number of I-131.
  5. Hi! I need some advice. I'm worrying about my I-131 application. I submitted I-485, 765 and 131 on February 24. I got Notice of Actions (texts and emails) for I-485 and I-765 on March 17th, but there is no Notice of Action for I-131. I thought usually these three notifications were sent at the same time by USCIS. What should I do?
  6. Did you receive an email from NVC? Did they receive your case from USCIS? Oct 25th, we received an email from AskNVC saying that they had our case. Nov 11th, we reached out a local congressman but haven’t got any reply from him or NVC. Two months passed from NOA 2 (9/15).
  7. I thought shipping K1 cases to embassies/consulates is every other Tuesday! NVC might send the cases randomly???
  8. I thought forwarding K1 cases to embassies/consulates would be only every other Tuesday. Is Wednesday a shipping date for K1 cases? We haven’t got a case number yet. I have to wait for the next shipping date 11/22😔
  9. Thank you for a good tip. I’m going to wait for the next shipping 11/8. If our case isn’t sent to the embassy, I’ll ask the embassy.
  10. I sent an inquiry to NVCResearch@state.gov on Oct 16 and got a reply on Oct 20 that they hadn’t received our approval case from USCIS yet. Reading posts on AUGUST 2022 K1 NOA2 to NVC form will be helpful. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/787483-august-2022-k1-noa2-to-nvc-to-embassy/#comments
  11. My American fiancé called USCIS twice (10/18 and 10/25) and got the same answers. An officer (I guess a tier one officer) said that the system didn’t indicate when the application had been forwarded to the NVC. And the midnight of 10/25, he got a reply from NVC public inquiry (he sent an online inquiry form about our email addresses on 9/21) that NVC received our approved case recently. But no case number attached. I sent an inquiry to NVCResearch@state.gov on Oct 16 and got a reply on Oct 20 that they hadn’t received our approval case from USCIS yet. NVC seems to be more reliable or less disorganised than USCIS. But unless I get an email/instruction from the U.S. embassy in Tokyo, I can’t be sure if our case is in NVC or not.
  12. I stayed at his apartment from December 19, 2021 to January 14, 2022. It was a long stay, I guess. Of course, the officer asked about my return trip, so I showed them the return flight on the airline App. I think you should be honest about your situation and tell the immigration you have zero intention of getting married to him during a visit.
  13. I visited him twice (May and December 2021) with ESTA. We applied for a K1 visa after my first visit to him. The first visit was at the height of Covid-19, so there were a handful of foreign travellers at the immigration. When I told an immigration officer at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport about a visit to my boyfriend/would-be fiancé who lived in NYC, the officer immediately asked me to come to the office. They asked me many questions about our relationship, and then one of the officers asked for my phone. They checked my WhatsApp chat with him. The officer called and asked him the same questions they had me. After they inspected my two suitcases and backpack, they finally gave me an "admitted" stamp on my passport. I had been there for more than one hour. The second visit was more manageable. I brought our copied NOA 1 (I-797C), our attorney's letter, the letter from my workplace (university) and the bank statement to the immigration. The attorney told me if I showed the immigration my strong ties, which meant my job and money in the bank, with Japan (so I had to get back to), they wouldn’t deny my entry. However, I was asked (again) to come to the office where my all documents were scrutinised by the officer. After 30 or 40 minutes later I was free from the office.
  14. Did you send an inquiry to NVC? I got a reply from NVC within two days. I attached the screenshot of the reply here. The address is NVCResearch@state.gov
  15. Thank you! We’ll call USCIS next week. Also, we’ll try Emma like you did. Maybe we’ll be able to reach a real agent through Emma🤞🏻
  16. Hello! Could you tell me which USCIS number you called? There is no phone number on the NOA 2, so only I know is National Customer Service Center number on the NOA 1, which is (800) 375 5283. Thank you in advance!
  17. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing/ceac-faqs.html#ceac5 Sorry! Yes, we should have both number.
  18. https://vn.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancefaq/ It's not the embassy Tokyo but Vietnam. They answered about DS-260 and DS-160. Please click the question 4 "I understand that most immigrant visa..."
  19. I couldn’t edit my comment, so I add it here; I think the instruction (screenshot mentioning DS-260) is for immigrant visas, but K1 isn't technically an immigrant visa. (this is why the instruction says "immigrant/fiancée") So the instruction should have explained DS-160 for a K1 visa...
  20. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html I don’t think we need to submit DS-260 (which is for immigrant visas). https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/all-visa-categories.html K1 is categorised as an immigrant visa on this page, but Important Notes (scroll down the page and see *) explains K1. https://www.ustraveldocs.com/jp/jp-niv-visatypeinfo.asp#niv And K1 is categorised as a non-immigrant visa on the U.S. embassy website. So probably it will be a mistake by the embassy.
  21. https://www.ustraveldocs.com/jp/jp-niv-typek.asp According to this website (see Step 4), I think we need to submit "DS-160", not DS-260. Also, https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/forms/ds-160-online-nonimmigrant-visa-application.html
  22. Interesting. I wonder: Under what circumstances are June filers being "neglected"? I wonder if there is a criteria that we are unaware of. I agree, it seems like they are still lying pretty badly with their 80% within 13.5 months mumbo jumbo.
