Fresh off election falsehoods, Republicans serve up a whopper about Biden

Burger-gate kept spreading through the weekend. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) dubbed Biden “The Hamburglar,” while Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) tweeted that Biden should “stay out of my kitchen.” Donald Trump Jr. retweeted the Fox News graphic, writing, “I’m pretty sure I ate 4 pounds of red meat yesterday. That’s going to be a hard NO from me.” And on Sunday, Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) tweeted that “Not only does Emperor Biden not want us to celebrate the 4th of July, now he doesn’t want us to have a burger on that day either.”

Both Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Idaho Gov. Brad Little shared the Fox News graphic on Twitter, with Abbott proclaiming, “Not gonna happen in Texas!” and Little writing, “Idahoans also have beef with this agenda and for dinner!”

Haley, meanwhile, retweeted a meme that her Stand For America political action committee pushed out, featuring Texas’s iconic “Come and Take It” flag, now repurposed to show a burger dripping cheese instead of the cannon. “Oh, I’m sorry, I thought this was America,” read the caption on the group’s tweet.

I mean, come on people, use your brains. Nikki Haley should be especially embarrassed, she is too smart for this.

Also I am worried about Don Jr. saying he ate 4 lbs. of red meat in a day. That sounds like a recipe for Senokot. I recommend the gentle ones (they are pink) but be careful.

Senokot won't do it. I recommend a whole bottle of Magnesium Citrate. 😉 It won't cure Don Jr's problems but it will keep him occupied on something more useful.

Experts say Americans WILL have to cut back on meat for the US to meet Biden's climate change goal as president faces pressure to come clean on how he actually plans to slash greenhouse emissions

As an embarrassment (to the party), obviously.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

This story is from WaPo so is it even credible?  The fact that Biden is pandering to the global warming nutcases without any real plan in place, it is expected they would jump to conclusions.

We aren't supposed to comment on whether sources are good or bad anymore. If you don't like the source, you are supposed to move on.

But in answer to you, this story was all over the media this weekend. There are plenty of other sources. Here's one from ABC News: https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/hamburglar-story-meat-limits-fell-77359715

Quote

The conservative website Gateway Pundit ran a story Friday with the headline “Biden's climate requirements: cut 90 percent of red meat from diet; Americans can only eat one burger per month.”

The body of the story itself was less incendiary, quoting the Daily Mail and using the qualifier “could.”

While a graphic on Friday's “Fox & Friends” talked about what will be required to meet Biden's green targets, host Ainsley Earhardt said, “He wants to cut out 90% of the red meat that you all eat.”

Later, Fox News anchor John Roberts said: “Say goodbye to your burgers if you want to sign up for the Biden climate agenda. That's the finding of one study.”

A graphic onscreen, with a picture of a cheeseburger, read: “Up in your grill. Biden's climate requirements: cut 90 percent of red meat from diet, max 4 lbs. per year, one burger per month.”

The story spread rapidly on social media. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted Fox's “Up in your grill” graphic, adding, “Not gonna happen in Texas!” Idaho Gov. Brad Little retweeted Abbott, adding, “Idahoans also have beef with this agenda and for dinner!"

It was Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene who dubbed Biden “The Hamburglar,” a reference to a character in McDonald's commercials.

There were some 23,000 examples of terms like Biden's climate plan, requirements or mandates appearing together with “meat consumption” in the context of political conversations online between Thursday and Monday, according to the media intelligence firm Zignal Labs. “Red meat" also had some 59,000 mentions in political chatter.

Yeah, whatever, it is just another example of the gaslighting from all of those vaunted leaders in DC.  All the hand wringing over this is un-remarkable.
