I'm in the same boat. I'm happy to see other people approved but absolutely gutted for myself and my fiance. I'm worried it would be another month+ of this if the early to mid April fliers are ignored like what happened with the March Fliers.

Probably not. Their pattern is usually a productive day followed by a slow day. I expect Friday to be slower since it will follow this pattern and we are getting ready for the Memorial day weekend.

We have no way of knowing why someone would choose to do that, maybe they decided to not live in USA, maybe they broke up, maybe one of them passed away, maybe they went another route to get a visa (for example by getting married), there could be a million different reasons - some happy and some sad.
