People will just shop online more then. Sounds like they just can't wait to bring about the death of more brick and mortar stores. Wouldn't be surprized if the bill was secretly sponsored by Amazon!

Oh no. Heaven forfend someone having to look at dresses. If anyone needs smelling salts, thankfully those are in the health and beauty section and you will not be confused about where to look.

 

If you read the text of the bill, retailers have a chance to comply with the law, it's not an immediate ticket for $1000. The retailers are likely to do it themselves before any notices are needed (the law doesn't go into effect until 2024).

 

This really only affects the big box and department stores (500+ employees). If you go to Target, all the toys are already not separated into boys and girls' sections. Likely only clothing sections will be affected. How are your sensibilities offended if you go looking for a pair of frilly socks but you have to pass by stuff you're not interested in because you think Green Bay Packers t-shirts are just for boys? I just went shopping online for my friend's newish baby and I was more concerned with finding something that fit him and was made in America than anything else.

I want to go to a shop get what I want and get out.

 

Now I personally am not likely to be looking for frilly socks and now I think about it have bought recent socks online. 

 

Now the big bis stores are no where near me and I always used to berate myself for saving my purchases for the next trip then not being able to find what I wanted, spend far too much time driving around, now I tend to just order that way done and I get it within the week.
