But he's not saying all police and all veterans are white supremacists, and there has been considerable coverage about how white supremacist groups target current and retired law enforcement and members of the military, thinking (rightly or wrongly) that they would be excellent members. This goes back a long, long time. There's an FBI report from 2006 making the connection. This is of course not saying that cops or members of the military are more likely to be white supremacists. Of course not! It's that they are targets. Why? It's not hard to guess -- training in all sorts of useful skills like explosives, combat, handling of and access to weapons, crowd control, etc., and discipline and the ability to take orders.

Is that like the Dems creating a permanent victim class by picking the most vulnerable targets and exploiting them?  Btw, in the current incarnation of "wokeism" everyone with little skin pigment is now a racist white supremacist except of course those that embrace the Left's political ideology.

I genuinely have no idea what you are talking about here. I mean that sincerely. The FBI has been aware of white supremacist groups targeting law enforcement for at least 15 years. This is kind of a... fact? This has nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans. This is a law enforcement and domestic security issue, which is kind of why it's been the FBI leading this. 🤷‍♀️

You were making an assertion that these groups are actively recruiting from the military and law enforcement.  I was simply making a comparison of other groups doing similar things.

Who is recruiting from whom to join violent extremist groups that are on FBI watchlists though? I am just not clear there is an actual analogous situation here. 

 

I'm also not making an assertion, I'm stating a fact that the FBI has put out there, a long time ago. I'm just puzzled. I was never saying LEOs/veterans/active military are "vulnerable targets." I said they were targets because they have useful skills. There's a real difference there.
