Hi, I've recently been in the U.S and have found someone willing to sponsor me. The trouble is, im struggling to find the right visa to fit. I'm a baker with over 15 years experience, with 3 in a managerial role. The only one possible I've found is the eb3 which takes two years to process, which it too long.

EB3 is an immigrant visa not a work visa, anyway this is not something you do, you need to speak to the Employer's Lawyer and find out which visa they are intending to sponsor you for, by all means come back and we can help fill the details in but first you need to tell us which one.

This makes no sense.  I don't think you understand work visas.

Time to be blunt.  We're trying to help you.

You are fishing for a visa to come spend more time with your girlfriend.  It's not going to happen.

You are contemplating any course of study that could get you an F1.  That's not going to happen.  You need to be a serious student and be able to articulate why a US degree would help you with a career in your home country to qualify for a non-immigrant F1 student visa.  You went from business degree to culinary degree with an emphasis on spending time with your girlfriend.

Work visas are obtained by US employers on behalf of their potential employees.  The employer would need to spend minimum $5000 and a significant amount of time to get a work visa for a foreign employee.  Engineers, scientists, etc. are at the top of this list.  Never heard of any employer bringing over a baker.

Your only choice is to use the VWP to visit your girlfriend.  There are many people on VJ who are not fortunate enough to be from a VWP country.  The US citizen takes many trips abroad, and it sucks because we have way fewer vacation days than Europeans.

You can continue to use the VWP or you can risk it all by seeking any visa.  If that visa is denied, your VWP days are over.

Take what you can get with the VWP and feel fortunate.

THE ONLY WAY FOR YOU TO COME LIVE IN THE US IS MARRIAGE.  There is NO WAY around this for you.

Best of luck.

I realise you are trying to help, and I agree that I am searching for the best way to live life with my girl after being apart for so long. There is nothing wrong with that.

I do have a legitimate job offer from my last trip. He said he is willing to sponsor me to come over. I am struggling to find a suitable visa. That is my question.

If he is willing to sponsor you it means HE needs to find the visa, organize it, pay all the legal stuff and application fees etc. That is what it means to sponsor someone for a work visa. All you should be doing is providing whatever certifications you are asked to show and arrive for a visa interview.

Not your call, what are they proposing?

He just said he is willing to sponsor me, I've been talking to an immigration lawyer who is working with us both. She suggests the best visa is the eb3 (skilled worker) but because of the time it takes to process, we are trying to explore all options.

So what other options has the Immigration Lawyer suggested.

Two years is approximately the same time to process nearly any other visa available to you (spousal, fiance etc).  US immigration is not fast, not cheap.

We talked about the e3 although I don't have a degree i have a lot of experience in the field, some in a managerial role. We talked about an o1 as my workplace has been in the press quite a bit, we are still looking into exploring all possibilities to see if anything can work apart from the marriage visa.

I heard the k1 and e3 were a lot faster?
