They haven't stopped doing biometrics. Those that are getting waivers are typically, like my husband, came on a K1 (there are others) and had a biometrics and interview as part of the Adjustment of Status process. Even then, I am sure plenty of ppl are getting biometrics and interviews....again. There is not real telling, until you get your stuff specifically.

Right. We did K1 and did biometrics as AoS, so we're one of those. Just need to wait and be patient I suppose :) As always with this process!

Yeah, we're patiently waiting for whatever is thrown our way. But I think 3 biometrics and 3 interviews in under 5 years is a bit excessive for cases that are pretty straight forward.

Hi guys question if I am using the G-1450 do I use just 1 form for the filling fee and biometrics? Total of $765? Thank you

Hi! Yes, ONE form only. The amount due is $595 filing fee + $85 biometrics fee = $680.

Where did you get $765?

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Just received my wife's NOA today! Received date 12-28-2020, notice date 1-30-2021. Nebraska service center. 18-month extension!

Is it usually an 18-month extension? Ours says the same thing (big sigh of relief) but I was expecting just a year extension. Is this a new change?

This change took place for awhile now because cases don't get processed quick enough. So yes it is 18 months ☺️

Update,

my application was received on December 8th,

I did not hear anything until February, so I contacted USCIS everyday, filed e-request, contacted congressman, and lockbox facility.

I got my receipt number on the phone on February 3rd, check cashed on February 4th, got a text message about my receipt number.

And I finally got my extension letter today.  Februarry 12th.

Hi guys does it matter if my wife change the name on her passport from her maiden name to my name? Will it help for the ROC

Please double check what I am writing here - but if I am correct, you cannot change your legal name from the moment the physical GC is issued to the time you apply for citizenship - when they ask you if you want to legally change name.

Just thought I would update with ours. Received Dec 24th, we had the payment taken and 18 month extension received about a week ago! So about six weeks turnaround. My CDL has been extended the full 18 months with PennDOT, that was relatively straightforward and had been my major concern! Now to see whether we get the call for biometrics or a waiver.

Thank you all for allaying my fears a few weeks ago 🙂

Hey everyone, I have a question for you guys did anyone receive their i751 receipt notice  with their name and address listed as for example:

Sarah Marks

C/O Sarah marks

1244 address parkway...

because normally all my uscis notice as comes without C/O

Sarah Marks

124 address parkway.. without the C/O

so I’m wondering why?
thank you guys 🤍🤍🤍

Yes, this is how my husband's arrived.  When you filled out the paperwork, there was a space that asked should it be in care of anyone else or the applicant.

When we initially did his AOS, I put my name in the C/O section, but for the I-751, his name was provided, so it came addressed to him and C/O for him as well.
