I had my medical yesterday and I'm a bit confused - wondering if anyone else here can clarify:

I told them I was pretty sure I'd had Chicken pox as a child.  During the discussion with the vaccines nurse she said she wouldn't have been able to give me the variacella anyway since I had MMR this week already (before the medical I got it at my GP.)  She said you can't have it within 4 weeks of having MMR.

When I went to pay, there was an additional £40 charge for "variacella and what I think says "check", but the handwriting is bad.  I can't find this on their fees list.  Could it be they have charged me for a titer test? If so, and that comes back that I've not had chickenpox and I need variacella, I won't be able to get it by the date of the interview since I have to wait the period since the MMR.  What would then happen at interview?  Presumably nothing until they send my medical?

Was also DQ'd on Tuesday, July 11th. Let's keep each other updated!

When did you submit your AOS/260? We are just finishing up and getting ready to submit, so curious to get an idea as to how long we will be waiting for DQ.

The NVC processing time page is usually accurate, currently showing 2 weeks - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

That's really odd, we didn't even get asked about it at our medical, just ticked the box to say we'd had it as children and that was it. Did you have a blood test then?

I'd give Visa Medicals a call and see what they say.

Not a good idea.  Travel plans should not be made until visa is in hand and has been checked for errors.  Good luck.
