  1. So he needs to put whatever address he's currently at on the DS260. He has an option to add a mailing address if I recall correctly, so could he add somewhere that shouldn't change and he'll have access to?
  2. I don't think you can re-route it after interview in the UK. It's not sent via normal post but via a courier called DX. I checked and definitely got a 2 hour time window. I'd be loitering if I could. Does it show issued yet and are you still in the UK? I interviewed in Tuesday, mine showed issued on Thursday and delivered on Friday.
  3. Silly question but could you book an air bnb close to the other one and then kind of loiter around outside the other one on the day of delivery? If I recall you get a timeslot also?
  4. Hi, I think general advice is to go for the interview, and they'll issue the visa when the medical comes through assuming all is ok? It may be better to check with others at your embassy though.
  5. Took 3 days for mine. Interview was Tuesday, passport delivered Friday.
  6. Just to update for others, the greencard arrived yesterday so in the end less than a week. Thanks for all the contributions to this thread
  7. It would be much easier if we could let them know before we move also if it's certain. Why wait until after the fact and potentially cause an issue?
  8. We actually close on the new house on 22nd November. I didn't realise I couldn't inform them until I actually moved. We have access to this address until 8th December. Fingers crossed the card is here in time. Thanks. I understood that forwarding wasn't allowed.
  9. Thanks. Fingers crossed that's what happens. Does it need to be signed for do you know?
  10. Hi All, I entered the US on a CR1 on 1st October. I paid the immigrant fee on 4th September. We are moving by 8th December and I planned to file AR11 today, however yesterday I got a notification via Lawfully that my card is being produced. I cannot add the case to my online account as I never received an online activation code. Is it too late to change my address or is it possible the card will arrive in time? I'm not sure what to do? We have USPS informed delivery. Thanks in advance
  11. I wasn't sure as the GC will expire after I return, but thought I might be risking it being that close.
  12. Well, I've been here for 2 full weeks now on a CR1 and already turning my thoughts to ROC! I know that I can't file until 07/02/2025 and my GC will expire on 09/30/2025. Unfortunately we have a major family event planned in Europe for September 2025 which I need to travel for. Is it a) better to file straight away as soon as it opens and hope I receive the extension letter or b) file as soon as I return? I will have one week after returning before expiry of my GC. I wish I could move the travel dates but that's not possible. Thanks
  13. Oh wow! That's odd. They were down to like a week. I hope it's just a glitch!
  14. Thanks. I've been working since I arrived, so glad they can actually pay me soon! lol
  15. Go ahead and start getting the vaccines you cannot evidence you have had. You will need them anyway. There really is little point in paying for titer tests. In my experience, I got approved faster than anticipated, and I ended up having a load of vaccines over 3 days. That knocked me out a bit! And for sure get what you can for free on the NHS, otherwise they're around 70 each.
  16. Just updating here my experience for others, I was pleasantly surprised that my SSN arrived yesterday, 8 working days after my arrival in the US on CR1. I selected for it to be auto-generated on the DS-260.
  17. I just called them and asked for a tetanus booster and explained I needed MMR for immigration purposes. They didn't take any blood tests as it doesn't hurt to be vaccinated more than once I guess. It's all Visa medical would do anyway, but charge you for the privilege!
