First off, I'd like to thank everyone here for sharing their stories. It's been a huge psychological burden lifted off my shoulders knowing things are progressing along with everyone's applications. :)

I'm wondering if anyone here has informaiton on if the London Embassy will remain open and continue to process CR1 visa's once London goes under Tier 3 lockdown?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I mean, with the news being so recent and the embassy being such a closed box, I feel like concrete information isn’t likely on the forum.

The embassy did release a short statement right after the last tier change saying that they’d continue to process “mission critical” visas, so I think the best we can hope for is that they release a similar statement soon.

I haven’t heard anything, but I’m hoping they will be staying open. This is going back a fair bit in the thread, but you can see they remained open for interviews and medical appointments during the 4-week second lockdown so I imagine they will be able to in Tier 3. I’m hoping at least! If I see anything, I’ll post here for sure.

I interviewed yesterday and I did ask while I was having biometrics about what will happen in the event of London tier3 looming. I was told that it's unlikely that anything would change from their operation now because they were operating at lowest capacity already. I observed only 2 in office, 1 for docs & biometrics and 1 window for interview. So very very quiet there. I guess they too may be waiting on further guidance.

Thank you so much for asking - that was super kind of you.

My son was DQ on 17th August for IR2 visa, I still have not received an email. Now I am worrying since you both were after me. What’s going on? Or maybe they not processing children visa.
