Double check the revision you’re sending of I-765, there was a new version on 8/25/2020 so if you sent your package last month odds are the one you filled was the old one.

This makes me nervous

I’m trying not to be. I checked the dates before I sent and I’m pretty sure that they were all still valid.

Small update, as of today there is a pending charge of $1225 on my credit card from the Chicago Lockbox.

Another update, the charge posted on 9/18. I also got a fraud alert text from my bank on 9/19 and had to reply verifying that it was an authorized charge.

Still waiting on text notifications with case numbers for the I-485, 765, and 131.

Note that we did not include the I-944 in our package (mailed 8/31, delivered 9/1). In its place we included a printout of the USCIS website alert on the I-485 page and highlighted the following portion:

Quote

Applicants and petitioners whose applications or petitions are postmarked on or after July 29, 2020, should not include the Form I-944

We also referenced that in the cover letter.

My payments were also posted, I have not received any email or text message though. At least it’s comforting to know it’s the same for everyone else. I knew these application would be slower than everything else I’ve filed with USCIS.

It’s only a bit worrying that we don’t have NOA’s or case numbers since both my parents’ I-94 expired on 09/05/20. So we have nothing to prove they’re staying on a “pending AOS” status

Just got one text message and one email with a case number of one of my 2 parents (not sure which). (It's funny how USCIS usually responds and sends updates during weekends or after hours) The reason why I only got 1 and not 3 messages is probably my fault, since I only included one form G-1145 per case, and I put it right after the cover letter, instead of putting one on each individual form.

I checked the case status online hoping I could get some clue of which parent that was, still no clue for which parent this was but it's curious how they're acknowledging they received form I-131, and not i-765, I-130 or I-485. Should this matter? Is this random? Either way, it's a good sign, right, right?

Can someone help me out with the supplemental evidence for the i-944? This is the list I have so far! Am I missing anything?

- Marriage cert (already included in i-485)

- USC tax returns and employment letter (already previously included)

- Copy of Beneficiary’s GCSE – education transcript and English language proficiency (he's from England) with letter stating he is native English speaker from England
- Copy of Petitioner’s Educational Debt Statement
- Copy of Lack of Credit Score with explanation letter (I printed out the error page from annualcreditreports.com which shows we cant pull one without a SSN and wrote a letter stating he has only been here one month)
- Copy of Petitioner’s 12 month bank statements – Checking
- Copy of Petitioner’s 12 month bank statement - Savings
- Copy of Petitioner’s 12 month bank statement – retirement
- Copy of Petitioner’s and Beneficiary’s 12 month bank statement - Checking
- Copy of Petitioner’s & Beneficiary’s 1 month bank statement – Savings

For the bank statements, I am only including the first page statement page, not all the other pages that shows transactions. Is that right?

Thank you!

Yikes, leaves it potentially open to those of us who filed between Jul 29 & Sep 11, were technically the 1990s public charge rule would apply to.

I’m just going to remain hopeful until I get an RFE

It certainly seems bad, It doesn't fully explain what would happen to those of us between the Jul 29 & Sept 11 timeframe. In some areas seems like we will be getting an RFE for I-944, there is only one small shine of hope in all this mess:

"We will not re-adjudicate any applications and petitions that were approved following the issuance of the July 29, 2020, injunction continuing until the date of this notice."

Not sure if that can be interpreted to our advantage or disadvantage. I guess I'll start translating a bulk-load of documents from Spanish...

Hi guys, I still haven’t received any news 😕 however, since my K1 has expired in the meantime, I am wondering what documents I should have on me, when I go outside/ drive? Do I need to take my marriage certificate? I kind of feel like an illegal, ever since I went to the DMV and was called an illegal 😄 thanks for any suggestions!

Your K1 expired the minute you set foot on US soil! Carry your NOA  from your I-485 and your marriage license and passport and you'll be ok.
