Hi
What is the reason for RFE?
I dont know yet as I have not yet received. It was only mailed yesterday. I will update once I get it.
I forgot to check a box part 3, question 4a.

Hey I see you got RFE, I also got it and asked lot of evidence regarding intent to marry, my wedding card and honeymoon all so how can I provide all these even though my fiancé is not here , can you just help me please?
Hi Misty..sorry u got the RFE. Mine was because I forgot to check a box. I'm not sure about yours and why they are asking for all that...how can you plan all these things when you don't know if/when the Visa will be approved?! I would search the forum and post to maybe get advice from others with more experience than me. Good luck!

Yeah that’s why it’s so confusing but thank you though

Morning AOKS....I see you posted you received NVC acknowledgment on 10/11. I have been following your timeline as our timeline is close to yours and we are also going to Mumbai for interview and had an evidence request too. This wait can be frustrating. What I was wondering is if you received notice on line before getting a notice in the mail? I have called a couple times and the NVC keeps saying give it 6 weeks but at 5 weeks and a day, I'm getting restless...LOL. On top of that, seems like interview dates would land around the holidays when traveling can be stressful to say the least. I know I read not to compare dates with other couples but how can one not? Did you get a notice online before mail? Thx, Chip
Hi! I called the NVC after seeing other couples with same NOA2 date. I called Thursday, and they said they didn't have it and to wait 3 more weeks I called Friday and they said they received it! I would keep callingðŸ˜

Let us know the availability of interview slots in Mumbai when you book it.
😊 All the best
Our embassy is Abu Dhabi, not Mumbai :)

Say AOKS...did you receive "Welcome letter" or email? We have similar time lines and think maybe our application left NVC today as well, cuz I been checking to enter fees and up until this morning, it wouldn't take the fees, but today it did. But also showed disclaimer to not book OFC appointment or interview appointment without receiving the letter or email first. So, did you get something? How do you know when application left for consulate? I tried calling this morning and even only a few minutes after they opened, they still said so many waiting to talk to consular that to try again later. I know they were closed yesterday on account of Dewali. Chip
HI @chipper1952 I havent received any emails or notifications. I only checked the status on the CEAC site and it showed In Transit. I entered todays date only because I have no idea of when it actually left.

Good morning AOKS... We only made appointment after CEAC site said "ready". It also showed a date when the application left the NVC for India. There was only one appointment left in December and that was on the 12th so we took it. When I edited the timeline packet 4 filled automatically. I didn't do that. But our attorney had sent in all the required documents a couple weeks ago and we also had the ds 160 confirmation number. It was kinda confusing as the conf. # for ds-160 changes from NVC to Consulate. I had to check but then it was explained to me by our immigration attorney. I think many of the steps are a bit confusing and need clarification. We also booked a last room at Sofitel Hotel, which is near the Consulate. I didn't realize December was such an expensive month when heading to India, but I was told it's the vacation time for US and Canadian residents, as is June and July for Indian residents coming here....figures...LOL. But just didn't want to wait till late January or February to interview. I wasn't to have the COS started by then. Have a good interview and journey to Mumbai...and have a nice holidays as well...

Hi Chipper
Did your attorney filled out ds160 for you or was it you that filled out the ds160 and also is there any issue if we book an interview date before the embassy receives our petition?
Hi Chipper..good luck. We are interviewing in Abu Dhabi not Mumbai

Hi, writing to you as i need help
There are couple of queries for DS160 form and submission
I have a B1/B2 visa and had applied for the same in April 2019 from my company, so the old account exists and i may have to continue with the same. After i login i can update my profile so i will update my personal email - earlier it was company email id. I’m assuming that the old email address is just a username at this point and doesn’t have any relevance. Correct?
But i see the DS160 form as the older one, Now if i fill the new form will it automatically take the new form number or i may have to enter the same manually ? will it be okay ?
We just don’t want to submit the application and have the old number mess anything up. Please advise on this. If this is confusing.
And what did you select for PERSON /ENTITY paying for your trip ?
Should I mention my current organisation details , as i am on notice period in my firm and will be not working at the time of interview?

Congratulations on approval!
Did you receive visa in 2-3 days?
How was the interview.. what will he your port of entry in the US
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
