Hi everyone, interview went well!! It took about 10 minutes. Mostly application questions to my wife and couple questions to me for my birthday and daughter birthday and she said I reviewed your paperwork prior your entry to the interview and everything looks good. At the end she said, you’ll receive the card in two to three weeks

Smooth!! That’s what we talking about! I tap into your blessings!! Friday evening I hope to share my own story!

Update on our journey (K1 visa):

9/2/21 - Had green card interview at Baltimore office. The whole session was probably about 20-30 minutes and was simple and easy. The lady was cordial and reassuring. After the interview, we were told 2-4 weeks, we should be receiving a letter in the mail.

9/22/21 - The EAD/AP card was received. Sorta bummed that the green card was still pending but still that's progress!

9/24/21 - Interestingly enough, the EAD/AP notice letter was received 2 days letter with a notice date of 9/14/21.

I also ended up with a relatively easy interview, approval next day, and Green Card less than two weeks later! God I'm glad this is done!

For interview advice, my Officer was mostly interested in updating documents related to my ability to support my wife (i.e. my 2020 taxes, which were filed in October 2021 due to a delay related to getting an ITIN for my wife). I think she would have also taken more recent copies of my paystubs. The point is I already previously provided this stuff, but they might ask for it again.

The other document she wanted was something proving we "lived/shared together". That was a little tricky since my wife didn't have a social security number, so we didn't have too many things commingled. I ended up sharing our health insurance cards (she's on my plan and it shows the same member # on both).

We also brought our toddler (not by choice, but probably better evidence that our marriage wasn't a scam :))

Hey. Hope you guys are doing well. Just wanted to know if you guys ever got the GC? Hopefully you did and can update us on your approval and how long it actually took before they updated your case status.

Thanks! My partner received the Green Card NOA today, dated 12/10/21! Now we just gotta wait for the physical card to come in the mail. The letter did state that additional biometrics may be needed.

Congratulations!!!

Hello! My husband's case just got approved last week.

Since our local office is backed up, we thought we had to wait another year for our interview to be scheduled.

So we weren't expecting anything and I haven't been checking this website or case tracker app for awhile now.

But we just got our AOS case approved letter with another envelop with actual 2 year greencard in mail and we never had our interview which was weird.

Anyhow, I'm super happy and excited!!! Good vibes to everyone!!!
