Received our RFE yesterday.

Noa1: Sept. 30

RFE: May 3

A bit random and not what I expected... it is for proof of meeting within the last two years. We live together and I sent them a copy of our lease with initial application. I also sent them about 12 pictures of trips we had done together prior to covid. We sent one letter of intent to marry so I thought it would be that. Oh well! I will send in photocopies of my passport this time along with everything I sent before.

I would look at exactly what they are asking for in the RFE. I know it sounds silly because you are both living together, but they want specific evidence in order to make the determination. Look at what they are requiring and then try and submit as much of that as possible.

Someone mentioned just because we have a lease together doesn't mean anything... I guess that is true. I went ahead and re-included it and translated it. Included photocopies of my passport and what pages had stamps to that country. I don't have any boarding passes, I also trash those! Also included my new residence card (had an old one last time)... the new one states that my visa is dependent on my fiance (ID # etc) and living with him. More pictures and descriptions, a few receipts from our trips and an affidavit from a friend of ours. Only one receipt has both of our names on it... hotels don't usually put names on a receipt but I included those anyway with photos on that trip. Hopefully that's enough to get approved!!! Sending it in today so fingers crossed!!!

We submitted plane tickets and boarding passes that had both our names on it, his I-94, and we had pictures and receipts, plus we had affidavits from his family and my family.

Guys for those who have received your NOA2 did your letter say it was being sent to the NVC or consulate? Mine says

‘Your petition has been approved and has been forwarded to the listed consulate’.

what on earth does this mean? I thought it went to the NVC

Omg! That’s literally the best news ever. Wish there wasn’t even a NVC process as it takes soooo long.

New date, new data.  Rate is holding to before; if it maintains, it should clear the remaining cases in 9 weeks (Assuming no more RFEs🤪)

Crossed 50% on Accepted/Rejected.
The gap between RFE's and In processing is about to close as well; which probably means something nice; but we are still seeing cases be accepted.

Yes :) There is certainly some positive stories, I know they are buried inbetween the not so good stories out there. I certainly was a skeptic for the entire duration. I called the NVC daily to know when it was recieved in the building to when it left.
