Interview and Oath Ceremonies at the same time

I've heard that they used to do interview and oath ceremonies at the same time - if all boxes were ticked and there was an oath ceremony on that day.  

 

My question is - with COVID impacts, furloughs, and other such nonsense currently happening, are there any occasions of the oath ceremony happening on the same day as the interview nowadays?  Has anybody had this happen to them?

A friend of mine passed his interview and did the oat same day at the field office. This happened before COVID19.

I think this makes total sense. I don't see why they can't be done at the same time.

I have seen several such cases on Facebook recently, after USCIS resumed oath ceremonies again. I have seen a couple of cases in Los Angeles even, hopefully they continue this be the time I'm up for my interview.

Can confirm Los Angeles.

I had my interview last Thursday: July 16th - and once I passed the test etc. I was sent back to the main waiting room where they were processing the Certificates (took another hour and half or so) and doing small batches of amended ceremonies - all of the legal requirements only, very quick.

As of what I experienced at the Portland, OR office - yes, they are doing same day interview and oath.

Yep.  I went in for my interview today (which took about 15 minutes), and was then told to wait there for an oath ceremony.  I'm now a US citizen, and my journey is over.

I'm having my interview in Las Vegas this week, and hopeful this is a possibility.
