He seemed really grouchy with me lately, which is a shame because I don't want to cause offense even when I strongly disagree with him on a few subjects. Maybe just took some time off? In the end VJ is just internet stuff, real world is way more important these days.

Grouchy with me also and we are buds. I think the corona thing, job, etc has him a bit stressed. Really in real life one of the most amazing renaissance  type people you will eve meet. Nothing he cant do.

Many people are impacted by the idiocy of how this virus has been managed, and not merely from an angle of incompetence by the omnipotent/omniscient CDC or Trump, or the top-down manner by federal/state/city governments, but the active participation by the media and the populace, the willful discarding of individual rights, the constitution.. catering to this kind of irrationality and fearmongering that's been used in a harmful way against the populace fosters resentment. And naturally, it's not the people at the top posting on sites like this. Fighting amongst ourselves is kind of the goal for those at the top, diverts attention from them. Even on social media platforms where they are, they have prominent people who can direct internet traffic to help censor or drive negative attention toward people that do visibly criticize those-one-shall-not-disagree-with.

This is so true.  There are so many PAC commercials out there trying to put all the economic, and human cost of this virus squarely on Trump.  I guess they fail to understand that most of the blame can be clearly placed on the various governors of the various states that "followed science" in their edicts.  I am not saying the CDC along with the help of the WHO/CCP did not make mistakes, but in this country, response to pandemics is the responsibility of the states, so it really shows the true colors of these Leftist PACs showing they would prefer a more authoritarian Federal government I assume with themselves in power.
