As of June 22, 2020, most immigrant visa categories (with the exception of IR-1, IR-2, CR-1, and CR-2), as well as the nonimmigrant visa categories H-1B, H-2B, L, and several J visa categories (au pair, intern, trainee, teacher, camp counselor, and summer work travel), are suspended through December 31, 2020

The clearest  and most accurate description of what is included/ excluded as we have see yet

YMMV

IR-4, IH-4, EB-5 Immigrant Investor, and Special Immigrant Visa in the SI or SQ classification aren't subject to the ban: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-immigrants-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-economic-recovery-following-covid-19-outbreak/ Presumably IR-3 and IH-3 holders are already considered child of USC and also not subject to the ban.

We can't make any summarizations about this because K1 is completely omitted from verbage.

By analogy. They listed the affected nonimmigrant categories.   If not listed,  then not included

Yes, I understand.  But by that analogy - also not suspended.  I must keep that faith.  It's all I've got.

Thus K-1 isn't subject to April 22 PP because that PP banned certain Immigrant Visas. K-1 isn't subject to June 22 PP because that PP banned H-1B, H-2B, J category, and L category. Read Section 2: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-aliens-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-following-coronavirus-outbreak/

K-1 isn't subject to April 22 PP!

I'm not saying you're wrong, but it doesn't matter if a consulate tells someone that it does.

Either way K1 is not considered mission critical so there will be delays in general.

Manila says K visas are not included: https://ph.usembassy.gov/visa-update-immigrant-visa-operations/

Quote

On April 22, President Trump signed a proclamation suspending entry into the United States of certain immigrants who present a risk to the U.S. labor market during the economic recovery following the COVID-19 outbreak.  The proclamation is effective at 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 23 and expires in 60 days, unless continued by the President.  U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, certain non-immigrant visas (including K visa), and those holding valid immigrant visas on the effective date of the Proclamation, are not subject to the proclamation.  No valid visas will be revoked under this Proclamation.

Note that the "new" EO is an extension of the April 22nd one (plus banning certain H/L/J visas).

Just to update those in this thread.. user EricLT who I believe is applying in Poland had an email hinting that K1's were not exempt from the EO.

That user today posted this follow up email:

'

I received another email today and they said it was a mistake. This is good for us

Dear Sir,

Please disregard previous email we've told you that we can't process K visas until 2021, when the June 22 PP expires. This is not correct.

Fiancé applicants are affected only by the March 11 Presidential Proclamation that bars entrance to the United States to anyone who has been in the Schengen Area in the previous 14 days

K visa applicants ARE affected by the March 11 PP barring most travelers who have been in the Schengen Area recently. This means that when the March 11 PP is lifted, we'll be able to process K visas again.  We don't know when this will be, but we might be able to process K visas BEFORE 2021.

We hope the above information is helpful.

Sincerely,

Correspondence Unit

Consular Section

U.S. Embassy, Warsaw

Is the new EO signed by trump right now affects K1 or not?

No one is giving a straight answer

A mod needs to create a sticky thread and list all visas affected by it.

Here is your sticky note! :D  If it is not listed then it not affected.
