Has anyone else been told they have a "technical difficulty" and so the agent can't assist you? It has happened to me more than once and now I think it's BS.

I don't think its BS...just more USCIS incompetence.

 

I was speaking with an Immigration Officer at our ASC today because he personally filed  a service request over a month ago for my wife's biometrics appointment.  His request has gone unanswered just as the one we submitted a month before that one with a Tier 2 agent on the phone has also never been answered.  He has apologized many times for the way we have been treated.  Genuinely nice guy...but even he can't do anything to help us.

 

While I was speaking to him he indicated that even he could not access case status information...he said it had been an issue for days.

Maybe it will give some hope for others who are waiting on their biometric appointment. I just received the letter today for my appointment ..! I had a tier 2 agent on the phone on Monday, who said couldn't give me an appointment but could send another service request .. I don;'t know if that's why it finally worked or not but anyway . Crossing my fingers for all of you guys waiting

I gave up hope anything will go right for us long ago.  It hasn't so far.

Ok so how do we file service request or request for tier 2 agent to call us? 
What we were told last week over the phone was to go to e-request.gov and fill out “did not receive notice by mail”, we did that and in the note we stated we still haven’t received biometrics appointment. After submitting that request, it said we should hear by December 3. 
After reading your posts, I’ve just tried to also fill out “case outside normal processing time”, but it didn’t allow me to submit, I guess it’s because our I485 was received by USCIS 06/05/20 so it’s not 6 months yet and our case is within processing times? So how are you going around that since you also applied in June?

I contacted them on Emma , asked to be put through a Tier 2 agent because my i131 was outside of normal processing time and I want to have more information regarding my biometric appointment. They told me an agent would call me back within 7 days, 7 days later someone called , put an expedite request for my i131 which was denied the next day but couple days after that I received my biometric appointment notice stating that I requested an expedite but that my case is on hold until they receive my biometric and so they gave me an appointment finally..

No idea, they didn't give a reason but it was denied so quickly I believe it might be because I don't have my biometrics yet..

I'm trying to gauge whether I am being too patient or if the wait I'm experiencing for my stepson's AOS is within the expectation at this point. He's only 10 so won't have a biometric appointment, but since receiving NOA mid-August there has been no other updates... Any informed opinions on whether we should have expected an interview by now or should we expect a longer wait? Thank you for any input!

He will still have a biometric appointment - Check the timelines on here, many who filed before you are still waiting.  Our NOA was in June, we are still waiting for an interview.

I got Tier agent 2 call today, she said to me to wait. Everything is delay cause quarantine. Also, she said that If for 30 days I will not receive appointment notice put service request again

Like some of you I'm still waiting for my biometrics appointment for more than 5 months now! (NOA1: June 4th)

My ASC is in Newark, NJ

 

I also just spoke to "Emma" about my request for non-delivery of appointment and they just said they don't have any update yet and all they can advise is to wait. I tried requesting for a Tier 2 agent, so I'm waiting for a callback after 7 business days.

hello all!  For those that received EAD, what has your experience been with explaining your status to potential employers?  We have EAD but have not had the green card interview yet (i hope we get a letter for interview soon).  So is it considered green card or visa EAD?  I did not think it would be Visa EAD because technically my spouse is not on a visa anymore but haven't received green card yet.  thanks!

Yep! Here is one of them. I am waiting for a call from a tier 2 agent but it is taking forever.
