"Submitting additional evidence" section of N400 (merged)

What else would I need to submit under this section of the N400. I have already uploaded documents under green card, marriage certificate, name change and children. The final evidence section doesn't seem necessary for me, but when I try to move to continue completing the application, a message pops up saying I SHOULD PROVIDE EVIDENCE (under the additional evidence section).

What else do I need to submit?

I am completing the N400 online. Where can I find updated information on what I need to submit as evidence?

The application has prompted me to upload my green card, marriage certificate and children's birth certificates, but nothing else.

I feel like I'm missing a huge amount of proof, that I always had to supply for my K1 visa, or Green card application (bank statements, tax returns, mortgage documents?)

Thanks!

you should be fine - from what I read it's fine to bring proof of relationship to the interview if you apply under 3 year rule.

I uploaded 3 years of tax transcripts, but it doesn't seem to be a requirement until the interview.

Are you applying under the 3 year rule? If so, consider uploading bank statements, cohabitation proof, etc.

Less hassle if application is based on 5 year gc anniversary (Part 1, #1A of N-400), assuming you didn't break the physical presence and continuous residence requirements.

Good for you....you are almost totally done!

Yes, I would submit more marriage-related evidence.

As this is their "final" step in the your immigration process, they can, in fact, review your entire path to citizenship.

So, in addition to the basic documents, we also submitted:

  1. Tax Transcripts for the entire marital period
  2. Bank statements that covered the entire marital period (on a quarterly basis)
  3. Credit card statements that covered the entire marital period (on a quarterly basis)
  4. Leases that covered the entire marital period
  5. House Insurance Policies for the entire marital period
  6. Health Insurance Policy Cards for each of us for the entire marital period
  7. Auto registration and Insurance statements for the entire marital period
  8. Cover Letter summarizing what we had submitted and affirming our relationship

They were added under OTHER CATEGORY

Front-loading (sending them online WITH the application) eased our concerns, and we believe theirs.

We sailed through the N-400 interview and process without a hitch.

And we still had our ROC Pending when we applied for citizenship.

Good luck.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

It always helps to read the USCIS Instructions for the N-400.

Here's what the instructions say (unless I'm missing something - which is why I posted the question!)

"Documents you may need

We will automatically determine which documents you need to provide us as you fill out your application.

The other documents you need will depend on the information you provide in the application, such as your personal history, family, and circumstances."

Based on that information.... and the fact the application didn't ask for any further documents from me (no tax documents, no bank statements or mortgage etc), would you submit any additional documents?

Genuinely looking for help please! I see others submitting a lot, and don't want to be missing something.

I just submitted a speeding citation with proof of payment and it being on my driving record, as I had mentioned it earlier in the application.

I thought about sending in tax forms, but I'll bring those to the interview.

Just uploaded the copies of my GC and our marriage certificate.
