Letters are not sent out till the file is in transit to the embassy that's why I explain in the PDF for you to call NVC to get your case number and invoice number. Follow the plan you will be fine, but it takes initiative to be educated if not you get left behind.

I called it in July, but the consulate in Rio is closed so they are not sending out our info to the consulate..

There are hundreds if not thousands who are waiting.

We have been on this site for a few months waiting, and its with the support of everyone on here and great info from @Greenbaum that has kept our hopes alive.

Logged into the CEAC visa site today to see that our petition is now 'In Transit' super excited.

We will keep you posted as to the interview etc.

Keep your hopes up everyone.

My fiance applied for my K1 visa from American in oct-nov 2019 and got the approval letter from NVM in April. I got my Case number but there is no update further. Can someone help me... I am from Pakistan. Is there anyway i can expedite my process. Or what can i do?

Correction to the terminology its NVC and not NVM. Have you visited the Pakistani US embassy website for updates? Have you researched in your regional sub-forum here on VJ? Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.

Those are the places that will answer your question.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hello all,

I received the NOA2 notice back in May, but never received the NVC case number. (My timeline link is up to date)

I followed the guidance in the PDF guide by asking to "update the email addresses" so that's now in place as of yesterday. I asked in the contact form now for the actual NVC case number. I may try calling again at opening or closing of the phone hours to get the NVC number if I don't hear anything. Would be nice to get the NVC number but I guess no point yet if still nothing is processing.

At this junction, I'd wait a little longer. USEM is not processing K-1 so there is no reason to tie up the phone lines just to get your number to complete the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application which can be completed at any time.

In the meantime, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview.

I had to call to get the number. You won’t be able to do much with it, but you can check the case status with the case number. Make sure you get the invoice number as well as you’ll need it later. It should say “At NVC” and then move to “In Transit” when it finally gets sent to the embassy, then you can expect it to be ready to schedule an interview a few weeks after that.

Cases are not going to "in transit" if the embassy is not processing K-1 cases. Check here U.S. Visas for current embassy status as well as your regional sub-forum and last is the embassy website. Files are not being shipped to embassy's unless they are open and processing K-1 visas.

Wow has it been a long time but the NVC has finally mailed my case to the Montreal U.S. Embassy on Wednesday, Feb 2 and I received my NOA2 in mid-May of 2020. I doubt the U.S. Embassy will be processing it since they're still doing only "Emergency Services" but hopefully this helps out some other people here. I've seen some other timelines similar to mine and some couples had their cases mailed +/- 1 day from me too.

Hello everyone, Please i need help. I went for My interview on Jan 12 2021 at yaoundé embassy cameroon. The CO completed the interview and requested for my final divorce decree to be submitted together with my passport and that of my daughter. I submitted the information after 1 week.

Today i received a call from the embassy to come back on March 18 by 1 pm that my document has been reviewed.

Pls can anyone tell what happens after reviewing additional documents or what to expect? Thank you
