We got approved on may 13 and we did not our case number from NVC I called them today and they told me they did not receive our approved petition yet. Is there a problem ? is there anyone who got case number in this thread?

1. You should get the PDF file that is in the first post and the first page of this tread where it explains what will take place, how long it will typically take and where to call or email for problems.

2. It usually takes 30 days from USCIS to NVC and another 2-3 weeks for a case number to be assigned. Your just too early. PDF explains all this.

3. Update your timeline to reflect your current status.

4. Please update your profile so we know what visa you are applying for.

5. Read the entire thread and you will answer your question if anyone else that has gotten a case number.

There you have it. Good luck and stay engaged.

Hi @Greenbaum

I was wondering if you had the P3 for South Korea.

Thank you again for all your time and help - this website and your guidance has been an amazing resource.

Thank you. Your appreciation is my motivation.

P3 letter is found on the embassy website

Preparation materials for the interview

Your country's portal here on VJ

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

I received my NOA2 dated April 24. On the USCIS case status online, it says April 27. It has been 6 weeks now and there is still no case number from the NVC. They do not have any record of it in their system. Wondering if there is anyone with a similar timeframe that has gotten their case number already.

See my reply in the April thread where you asked the same question.

Is anyone having trouble getting verified on IRS website? I’ve verified everything and can’t get verified in order to print tax transcript. I’m going to Jamaica in 2 weeks, and I want to leave everything with my fiancé for the interview Incase I can’t make it back for the interview. Tried to call but it says no live help due to covid🤦🏽‍♀️

I cannot get past trying to verify my phone.  So you are farther along than me.

And NVC still didn't receive my case.  Good thing embassies are closed otherwise I'd be going bonkers.

It does not have to be a original copy so if you can't get a copy before you leave then email it to him to print before the interview.

Just a heads up about my case.

NOA2 notification was received May 16th. I called NVC June 16th and case is still not received.

They told me it could take up to 6 weeks. Also the U.S Embassy in Honduras still closed 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Hope everyone is doing well.❤️

As written in the PDF from the first page of this this thread it states it takes 30 days for NVC to receive a case file and another 2-3 weeks to assign a number. So, your early in making that call to NVC. If you haven't done so download a copy of the PDF. It was created to help you along the way in what to expect which saves you time and doesn't make anxious, worried, or concerned and keeps you off the phone so others can get through with more pressing issues.

I got NVC email with the case and receipt number on the same day that USCIS transfer my papers to NVC.

That's good news.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

I called today the NVC and received are case number  and invoice number.  But, the file is still with NVC due to the Kosovo embassy visa section being closed.  Here we go another waiting game unfortunately.

We have discussed this issue in this thread. Why are you so surprised that what you read and what is actually happening is the same? Or is this just a case that you needed to rant? I'm simply curious.
