Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: Medical Appointment
Event Description
Review Date : April 6, 2021
Embassy Review : Medical Date/Time: March 30th, 2021 / 11:30am. K-1 Visa medical.
Total duration: 2 hours. Gender: Male.

When I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time, there was a lady sitting outside of the entrance to the clinic on the 22nd floor checking people in. I gave my 5 passport photos, vaccinations records, interview confirmation letter, and confirmation of payment for the interview. Once I was accepted in I went to the receptionist who took my driver's license and photocopied it (they asked for my passport but any government-issued photo ID is acceptable), gave me back my vaccination records and told me to wait.

I don't remember how long I waited but I was then called by a nurse who checked over my vaccination record again and said it was very rare for someone to have all their vaccinations done beforehand; I suggest you vaccinate before going because the prices range from $50-200 (I had MMR, Hep A + B, flu, TD - tetanus and diphtheria without the pertussis because this was a booster shot, every other vaccine was taken care of as a child), took my blood, height and weight measurements, eye test both with and without my glasses, and a urine sample.

I went back to the waiting room until another nurse came to do my chest x-ray for turburculosis. I went back to the waiting room again until the doctor called for me. I was told to remove everything except for my boxers (I feel like I could've gotten away with wearing shorts over my boxers). I was asked questions regarding my health history, ears/blood pressue/lungs/lymph nodes near armpits/2 spots around the groin and abdomen were checked.

I paid a total of $540 even though the website says $595. The x-ray CD and vaccination records (if you had any done there) are sent to your home address and the medical envelope is sent to the embassy.

Message me if you have any questions

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
